probably the best CTF-map ever made... The map is quite big and vast, BUT it doesnt slow down one bit! There is the regular beach, with bunkers, and further into the beach, there are tanks, trucks and more bunkers. There are also some amphibian boats... This is a very cool map due to the size and fast speed, and all the cool things included. If you feel like doin some Saving Private Ryan WITH the gore then this is the map for you! ;) Don't wait any longer! Go grab the map and hunt for that flag! Hopefully we'll see this map on professinal servers very soon! It's worth it ;) PS: The red flag is [i]under[/i] water on a sunken amphibian boat! We hope you like some swimming ;)

There are three control flags spread out over the map. The ctb base is located in the central building, main floor! Make sure you visit the bar as well... and "use" the jukebox for some cool ! Time to dance a bit :) Make sure you raise the volume of your speakerset, coz your neighbours probably wanna hear this too :D The map has all ingredients for kickass fights. Lots of places to explore, crawl, jump, climb, and shoot shoot shoot :rock: Don't ask questions, just download this great map and get those guns blazing! Have fun with it!
is a quite a quality CTF-map, with lots of snow, ice and water! It is not very big, so i hope you don't have too much friends to play with ;) Go get it!
rooms (each containing the flags) connected by 2 hallways. One room is blue, and has a "normal" cross in it, and the other is red with an upside -down cross in it. I think its showing a Good and Evil type thing. This map shouldnt be played with more then 4 people, unless you want some REAL crazy carnage haha. I can imagine having fun with this map by playing with 2 or 3 of my close friends for fun.

about this map?" you ask? Well first off, its different and fresh from all the other maps we have gotten lately. Not only is it in a subway station, but the map also extends outside to a street, and even into sewers! What else? Well just the detail put into this map makes it a lot funner to play. Every door leads to a room, full of chairs, bookshelves, you name it. Even the trains actually move, and go back and forth between the stations. Finally, the architecture of the map is very good. It isnt easier for one team then for the other to get to the flag, but it maintains all kinds of interesting things to keep the fighting spicy, such as underground tunnels, windows from reception desks, slits in the walls to get quick kills from, and all kinds of other goodies. Anyways, personally I really liked the map, so I think you will too, have fun!

You even can attack via an entrance under the ship - Better weapon and item-placement - Dynamic lightning - And many things more :) The map still features two ships in two docks, separated by 2 warehouses... the map is full with ingredients for fun fights! hacks before, but never perfect ones :love: There are two version in this PAK file: [b]JPNTCLS:[/b] This map has TWO shotguns (the SMG is replaced with a shotgun) and both bases have two boxes of shotgun armour at the top of the stairs of each base. Power weapons have been removed, with both instances of the heavy machince gun and the machine pistol now symmetrical on both sides of the map, with the corresponding ammo following suit. The bug concerning the magnum in the red base is fixed, and the weapon is now fully visible. [b]JPNTCLX:[/b] This map is the same as the above, but, in my opinion, the fairest version. In place of the two heavy machine guns in the 'dark rooms' (out of your base up the stairs, right, short corridor, into a dark room which turns a corner) are two further shotguns, making FOUR in total. This means that when an opposing team is 'camping' your shotgun in the narrow corridor, you have the option of leaving the base up the stairs immediately after you spawn, and following the corridor round to the other shotgun. One of these version will be used in the new season of the [url="http://www.total-carnage.com/"]Total Carnage League[/url]! Have a blast with it :rock:

some complaints about getting of the ship alive :lol: This was enough reason for Hector Infector to make some changes in the make: more and easier ways to get in and out of the ship, more healthpacks, more ammo and stuff! The flag is on a small platform hanging in a tower... The map has been packed as a PAK-file, so you gonna need SOF 1.06 or up to use it! Have a fragging good time with the map!

Conquer the Bridge! What about the map you say? Well the map is actually very well done! It is essentially strongholds (castles) that are on opposite sides of the map. In the middle is a bridge, with caves on both sides. This map reminds me of an old UT map in which there was two castles seperated by a series of catwalks and caves, which had lava all around them. There is even a custom sound for the waterfall that goes under the bridge. [i][b]"StrongHolds" supports all available SoF Gold gamemodes including: "StrongHolds Capture the Flag (CTF)" "CONTROL the Castles (CON)" "CONQUER the Bridge (CTB)" "DEATHMATCH of Knights (DM)" featuring four special tuned DM bots![/i][/b]

Several ways from base to base, including a good 'ol underwater route. - A central area, where the red territory meets blue. A cool tower (see screen below) in the middle here, perfect for those mass-slaughtering scenes... - Automatic doors open before you reach 'em, I was very amused by that... Well, the point is, it's a good map, so download it! This is the central tower I was talking about earlier:
cylinders that if stepped on fly up and bring you to a second floor, from which there are "esacape routs" that slide you down to the first floor. Also, between the two sides are a series of metal sliding elevaters that will surely cause some havoc :) Anyways for yet another cool CTF map by Siskarad, get this one! Good work Siskarad.

Comparing it to the other 2 custom CTF maps that have been put out up to this date, this map has a few good things: - Big level size, small file size! - Fast gameplay, lot's o fun! And even tho it has less eyecandy than the other 2 maps, it still looks okay! But it's all about the gameplay and the speed! Finally, just adding that there's 2 ways to go from Blue's base to Red's base (or vice versa duh) that's either over a small bridge or under a long waterway where you'll pick up hella weapons while loosing suffocating :) Well, a great conversion and big fattie thanks to I think one of the most "famous" SoF Map makers out there; Intruder!

the pits! The map isn't very big, but there are various routes to the flags... easy and difficult ones (including lovers, varying heights and side rooms with tunnel connections)! I suggest you invest some time to learn the map before you actually going to play it ;) According to the NFO the heavy weapons are hidden to limit access... but they are in there (gulp, i couldn't find them, silly me)! Have fun with the map! [b]Update[/b]: The zip lacks an INFO-file, so here is a small (*grin*) note from the creator himself: [i]Since I wasn't really sure of what I needed to add to the text file that was sent with the DeadTowers1b map, I left the descriptive portion rather minimal. So I'll add a little information... better late than never I guess. DeadTowers was my "second" attempt at mapping. I had to make this map a second time because the first attempt crashed (after 20 to 30 hours of labor)... the file ended up with "no vis data" during a fast compile for testing and to this day I'm still not sure what happened (I was told that there were too many polys in the map). I originally blamed my computer since it's getting a little behind the tech curve with regards to what is on the market today but now I think it's a basic mapping error that I need to identify for future maps (actually, my newest mapping attempt has also suffered the same fate and must now be done again... LOL). The DeadTowers map was intended to be on the dark side to allow for some hiding places and also to keep in character with what I thought a castle would look like inside during that period of history... I don't recall to many having an abundance of lighting. This is also the reasoning behind the simple texturing... most castle structures of note were constructed of local stone; what ever was readily available. I think the scale is some what on the small side but it is larger than the very first attempt (grid scale wasn't a quantifiable value for me at the time). Because of the close quarters, I placed the heavy weapons (flame thrower, missile launcher, etcetera) in out of the way places... all in the upper tunnels of the "sewer" rooms. These weapons can be accessed by way of the grates at the bottoms of the columns found in the sewer rooms. There are four upper level tunnels with eight grate entrances in each sewer room. The grates must be blown open or "knifed" open, weapons fire will not open them... I'm not to sure how the hell I managed that but I've enjoyed watching people waste their ammo trying to shoot them open. The wells at each end of the map also have tunnels connecting to the sewer rooms that can only be accessed by jumping from the top of the well (from the ladder side is best). These tunnels end up in mini pits, capped with grates, directly above the center of the sewer rooms. The well bottoms have interconnecting tunnels to the pit in the main hallway and to each other... the low road to get the flag back to base. The main hallway has "slippery" areas on each side of the pit, with grenades as lures, to entice the unwary into falling into the water below. Once in the water, ladders can be found on either side which again lead into the sewer rooms. In retrospect, I should have made the pit wider to increase the difficulty of the jump. There are also the loft paths above the main hallway to get across the pit. Getting to the loft can only be done by climbing the wood slat partitions in the main rooms or jumping from the stairs or ledges. All in all, I'm pleased with the majority of the map. I've learned some things that I'll apply to the next one and now have a better handle on overall scale. My best suggestion when playing this map is to enable falling mode, it's not terribly fun to be able to jump from the uppermost heights and still be able to run away. I also suggest trying a high dive from the top with the sniper rifle view, guaranteed to turn your stomach! Hope this is helpful, MDK Dead One[/i]
DM-spawnpoints this time, so it's a CTF-only map! The map is pretty big with two buildings, a few floors, elevators, a water-part and mucho more cool stuf in it! Ofcoz the map is loaded with weapons, ammo and explosives for those hectic battles! It surely will please all those flag-hunters out there ;) The map has been packed as a PAK-file, so you need at least SOF 1.06 (or up) to play it... Have fun with the map ;)

The maps itself isn't very big! Even with two people you can have some fun! A fragfest starts with 8+ people! A maximum is unknown, but as the r_speeds (worldpolygons) are under 600, it won't lag easily ;) The map is mainly created for Capture the Flag, but you also can play Deathmatch (all types) with it... Do i need to say more? The file is small, it's a great map and as allways, it's free! So go get it ;)

hallways on two levels. Red CTF base resembles what might be an Entrance to the school however the map is tailored more towards being functional, rather than asthetic. Blue Ctf base resembles what might be a shop class. The gym is the fastest way between the two bases but it's loaded with grenades and is large and open. The two levels of hallways provide many alternate routes. Credit once again goes to the creators of QERadiant, and all associated software. 9MM Boy felt that limiting this level to the sniper rifle and a minimum of shotguns would add more of a sport to the sniping game. You will also find C4, claymores, and grenades, as well as the heavy machine gun. This requires teamplay and adds more of a sniping sport as you don't know where you were just shot from. You may have to lie and wait for your next kill much as a real sniper would... Have fun with the map!

is a pure accidential that two mappers worked on a remake of the same map, but the maps aren't exactly the same! This map, for example has lots of boxes around the flag... The map isn't better or worse than [url="/file.info?ID=977"]Dust2002[/url], it is just different ;) The zip only contains a flagset from the Kripz-clan :) Have fun with it!

Also no items other than some batteries for the MPG can be found in the map! There are plenty of holes where you can fall in! The map may not very realistic but it is fun to play! diehard SOF-players! [i]The setting is a government nuclear shelter nestled some 1.7 miles below the earths surface. There are a few tricky but very time saving jumps, also plenty of climable chains, and girter beams. The large room where most tunnels converge offers many levels of vertical play, also some parallel tunnels separated by a wall with bullet proof bars, and spaces to shoot through: you can look but ya cant touch!!![/i] The map is primarly created for capture the Flag but it also can be played in Deathmatch-mode ;) Have fun with the map!

so many places it's fun as hell. Anyways, you can either go the top way, which there are some windows and a trap door, and by the way, shoot out those windows above there, they regenerate! :) You could also take the bottom way where your surrounded by 2 waterfalls but you can get to the top area by climbing on some pillars. I like this map, it has some custom made textures, and the logo and thanks, and a lot of detail. Some people with bad graphics cards might not like it, but most ppl now days have at least a 16 MB Voodoo or something. Overall, it was suppose to be like your trapped in a castle in everything around you has frozen. Hope you enjoy the map, I put everything in it including rockets and ammo! There are also 2 hidden doors on each side of the map, one is not obvious, the other kinda is. The obvious one just saves you time and the hidden one has 2 nades, a big health, and 2 flash packs. I put every weapon except the rocket launcher and heavy MG because those can get annoying sometimes. by playing Snipersnest ;) This is a sniper-based map with two warehouses, each a mirror of the other... As you can see on the pictures, the map is pretty dark to give you that extra creepy feeling! The nightvisiongoggles aren't really essential, but they can be very handy ;) There are no shotguns or heavy weapons in this map. You get knives, a pistol, the .44, the 9mm sup. SMG, 5.56mm SMG (or AK47), and of course, the 5.56mm sniper rifle. The goal of this map is to be team-oriented, where people play with organized finesse, as opposed to bloodbaths... If a bloodbath is what you want, you better look for another map! Nuf said, grab the map and go hunting ;)

And it's cool to see a truck laying up-side-down, but i am afraid that this high number of vehicles will cause troubles for the r_speeds that it probably will be unplayable on the internet (lag lag lag)... On a lan you will have less problems! I hope you are able to run this map and if so, have fun with it ;)
