As Daniel Pohl's master thesis for Erlangen University "Quake 4: Raytraced" (short: Q4RT) has been developed in cooperation with Saarland University. The work has been supervised by Andreas Dietich.
Software. \"Quake 4\" offers much more complexity in the number of triangles used in a scene, the number of dynamic lights and the use of dynamic geometry. As Daniel Pohl\'s master thesis for Erlangen University \"Quake 4: Raytraced\" (short: Q4RT) has been developed in cooperation with Saarland University. The game engine was written based on \"Quake 3: Raytraced\" and supports realtime lighting, bumpmapping, specular mapping, soft shadows, moving objects and more. As a special reasearch topic it contains some new invented algorithms that enable collision detection through Ray-Tracing. The development has been done in about four month. The engine builds upon the OpenRT-API, which manages Ray-Tracing. Q4RT has been done using content from Raven Software and id Software. There was no involvment with the team members from those companies. The project is for scientific research only and Q4RT will not be released for download.

Lead by iT_raTe and many less famous yet highly skilled trickers took up the task of filling in the hole left by Team iT after the dishearting cancelation of \"iTeam\" which was going be edited by mrks. Many of these demos shown are high ping (200+) and are some very complex timing, so please apreciate the skill invovled, hopefully cristal and I have shown the content in a way that improves the look and feel of Q3 vq3 tricking. After a while, Robotnik realised that Metal Sonic was his greatest creation, so he was reinstated into production, but the programming for free-will was removed. Thanks to this down-grade, MS could be mass produced but even with the downgrade MS still was so complex that the assembly line would require to much power for Robotnik to generate on his own. He needed the chaos emeralds. Robotnik was smart by now! He knew he couldn\'t get them with sonic around so he used the metal sonic he already had and used him, disguised as Tikal to steel the master emerald from knuckles. The master emerald was TOO powerful for the assembly line though and some of its energy had to be vented to the Chaos Emeralds. Shadow, who had an emerald at the time was stunned to see the mystical gem burst and reform as a larger and more powerful super emerald. The venting power from the master emerald gave so much energy that all could see it for miles around. Shadow, with his new source of power attempted to chaos control to the light but the power of the emerald was to much and the planet was engulfed in chaos blast. All survived but the 8 mystical emeralds were never seen again. With out the emeralds, Sonic was helpless to defeat Robotnik\'s vast array of robots, and he eventually defeated his arch-rival... and the world plunged into chaos....

In order to defeat all those demons, Requiem allow you to access a lot of different weapons and powers... handguns, shotguns, grenade launcher, fly power... and even the firsts steps of the bullet-time. All things considered, Requiem Avenging Angel is a great memory for us, and an unforgetable experience we have shared with our friends. Today, after a topic started by Daedalus29 on NoFrag, we\'ll try to share again this game who hadn\'t in our humble opinion the succes it deserve to have... by modding it on the Doom III engine. Finally, the 2005 vacations will make us change our vision about the mod, and especially about the engine. The mod is now developped ont the Quake 4 engine who offer us a lot more possibilities.
