not just aerial combat , there's a good number of naval elements in this map too. The map is set on 3 floating islands on top of an ocean littered with fishing boats and Mk5 PBRS, the ruined buildings and fishing boats makes ideal spots for ambusing incoming naval units. The aerial combat on the other hand, is a whole new story; to get to the objective , there's only 2 ways to go; by chopper; or landing on the lower level and proceed your way up on foot; but most likely you'll get torn up by snipers or accidently fell off the road on route. Whichever team arrives at the objective also has the advantage of using the emplaced weapons , not to mention blind frag nades and 203s against oncoming assaulters on foot.
go in from one of the 2 entrances on the sides. Each team has 4 dune buggies to start out with. there are trees and bushes filling in the area around the tower. so you can use them to sneak up. Have fun!
although it does seem that the allies have way more firepower than the rebel team, given that the allies have a fleet of Mk5 PBR each packing 2 MK19 nade launchers :) Should the going get tough on the main beach , you might wanna reroute to the side of the islands and make your landing there. For the rebel team , your advantage is the numerous armory at your disposal, and the emplaced wepons inside bunkers , but a hit and run tactic may be of use here; as probably once you fire a few shots you\'ll find youself under a nade barrage from the PBRs.
combat area is small; two opposing camps contest an objevtive in the middle , which itself is surrounded by a forest , with rice puddy fields close to spawn points, perfect for layin ambush. the helis can provide close air support while the buggies can hit unweary enemy convoys
offshore platform loaded with a fleet of PBRs and BTRs, be sure to park the BTRs onto the LCAC or you\'re in for a long swim! If you\'re ever looking for great naval battles then this map has it all, your fleet will have to secure an offshore buncker that\'s guarded by emplaced .50cals. Since this\'s TKOTH; the 1st mover has the initiative here, those.50 cal pack some serious anti air power and whoever controls it will help win the day
wanna grow old, stay off the road! you can be sure some sniper or RPGer is layin in ambush! the combat area mainly consists of the town itself; which by the way if you check out some of the hangers, you'll find valuable equipments to aid you.
places one can hide and still be able to view almost all of the map. The central complex is the spot of King of the Hill. It consists of a three level building with and open roof. You can get to it by going accross one of the three bridges or trudge through the valley and work you way up the ridges, though you would be an easy target for snipers. Using your mobile armory is quite important, allowing the use of mortars and at4s to clear the central building from a far.
few ruined buildings; the objective is located towards the middle of the map
another modded version of Dormant Volcano B, There is a a freighter and oil platform located in the Joint Ops bay which is the spot for king of the hill. You either spawn at A or D with several helicopters spawning elsewhere and various PSPs to take so that you don\'t need to trek accross the map. The oil platform also has several mounted guns for defense so getting there first is key
the water portions are still underwater. You can reach the outpost which is surrounded by a wall on all sides by driving across one of the many out stretched arms. They will give you access to the roof top on the central building where two mounted grenade launched lye. This also happens to be the point of King of the Hill. The zodiacs provide the support via water and can be useful for patrolling the waters around the base and allow entry to the base\'s first floor
its security. The roof of this structure is the King of the Hill point. Since there is no helicopters on this match it is vital to secure the stairwell and inside the building. This map is also the first to feature the map loading screen
main central building being that of TKOTH. The city consists mostly of small one roomed buildings thus creating many allies and places to hide. The few larger buildings are key to capture. They allow snipers to take out any opposition on the King of the Hill building and give you a much needed overview
anywhere on this map, but your speed is hindered by water so accuracy is probalby more important than ever, coz you\'re not gonna have to rush around the place. The zodiac\'s M60 can also come in handy as a support weapon, or even an ambush weapon, you can park the zodiac in someone\'s garage, then watch oncoming enemies pass by; swing out then tear them up from the rear. Also note that there\'re multiple levels in nearly every buildings and this\'s likely gonna be where the Snipers and RPGers are at. Oh and dont think you can just jump off buildings...the water is too shallow for that :)
Volcano island and raised teh water level up several hundred feet. Now only the highest places are above water and the re-building process has begun. Opposing forces on opposite sides of he map fight over a small bunker that was created at the center of teh island. The joint ops team has the advantage of water and sniper attack due to the fact thier base is floating with protection fromt eh mountain while the rebels have secured a land base and have made a bridge to the central bunker. Both side is wel equiped with helicopters so it comes done to the pilots.
debris, which makes an ideal place for some heavy weapons campin, or a few AT4s could so some serious harm to the folks down the other end of the tunnel. The upper levels are fairly wide open, complete with guard towers , obvious spots for sniper but spots nonetheless. The middle castle like structure sets the scene for CQB , which also hosts the objective.

serious firepower to your squad! The map itself is set in a dense urban area where the building are so tightly packed it its not uncommon for you to be able to jump to the roofs on lower buildings or, balcony to balcony. That adds a whole new level of combat to be contended with. The larger buildings can be entered on each and every level so plenty of ambush and sniping spots for those interested
Expeditionary Unit via Aircraft Carrier to maintain the embassy until the war is over. The Marines must fight for control of this outpost to maintain U.S. presence in this volitile country. regiment. The Joint Ops team must use the doors located around the perimeter of the base to gain entry. The faster rebel force can use the ramps to "jump" over the walls of the base. Inside the base is a main central building that acts as the spot for King of the Hill. There is also many vehicles surround by a fence, you'll have to get creative to get those out.
Spawn points are shorter in length and have a mounted machine gun. If friendly fire is on then you should only secure one of the spawn points. If it isn\'t just spam the center area which is the King of the hill spot
a few city blocks, all of which can be entered for cover and sniping :) aside from the buildings; you may wanna set yourself up with some heavy weapons down alleyways for a nice ambush around the zone, and should definatly watch out for the enemy chopper as those littlebirds packs a dozen of rockets that can rain doom on the opposing team
www.jet-stuttgart.de/map Detailed TKOTH map, whose zone can be attacked from all sides in most different way. Weather changes forces the teams to change between tactics. There are details with pictures under www.jet-stuttgart.de/map Over feedback I would be pleased. Info: Waypoint ALPHA shows you the way to the zone. It´s not the first waypoint after entering the map. I can´t find out how to chance that. install: Copy all files in your Joint Ops folder. That´s it. Enjoy the map! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
although stay alert while you in it, those things are fragile and they explode! other forms of transportation is the AAV; they\'re avaliable on the ground level and the first floor; use them to rush acorss the aquaducts! if you\'re on foot, then you might want to take cover in the vegetation or you\'ll make a easy target. There\'s a pair of m139s mounted on a ledge near the objective so use\'em to hold off enemies, the M139 angle of fire allows you to take care of enemies on both levels.
humvees AKA the Avenger. Load up a transport helo with avengers and use them against your enemy.
equipment shortages. Use the available vehicles for both attacking and defending the intersection. They bring essential firepower into the fight, they are fast and agile, but cannot be used without teamwork effectively. In defense, set up a proper defensive perimeter around the intersection, and control the opposing forces otherwise they will gain control and drive you out of the zone. Be prepared for anti vehicle fight. Javelin is not effective in close combat; however, anti-tank mines and non-guided anti-tank ammunitions (AT4/RPG) are deadly if used appropriately. The weather is changing fast, be prepared for rain and fog. (For JO: Typhoon Rising)
ruggered terrain means makes it harder for vehicle to travel; yet not impossible, and provides plenty of cover and ambush points en route to the lair. The Lair itself is a large arena like structure with multimples levels and various ruined buildings in it. There are also .50cals near the entrance of the lair, perfect for ambusing unweary pilots. One effective strategy is to cut off the enemy\'s access to the lair; there are multiple ruined buildings near the lair so that a few well planned ambush can be quite effective.
then three, there is a good chance you will die very quickly. The King Of the Hill spot is located at teh center of the city in medium sized house. If you can barracade yourself inside wiith enough people you should be able to hold it. There are two other spawn poitns available for capture located somewhat close to the center.
zodiac down stream towards the cabin; note that there are PSPs and ruin buildings where you can set up a few nasty ambushes, the cabin itself is not exactly defensible so be prepared to keep reinforcing it; the most vulnerable points would be the top floor where a few well placed AT4 will kill everyone inside. its also suspectible to nades, which is as always - a equal opportunity weapon, the defenders can also toss them out to clear the immediate surroundings. There is also a tree house you can go into to keep an eye out for approaching enemies.
zone is literally at the top of a hill.
mountains. This is not a difficult map, but its a good battle map. The map has 3 spawn points and lot of vehicles.

ramps or by helicopter. There are two spawn points available for capture outside the walls, with the King of the hill possition being inside these walls , securing both spawn points is vidal in holding the village.
be held or taken at all cost. The weather is clear but some patchy fog is present, so be prepared for long range warfare also. (For JO: Escalation)
like how the buildings were placed in the city, you can even jump from roof to roof which provides quick means of getting around the city unnoticed. There are a few point where you can reload and change your weapons. Also a few vehicles like a helicopter and cars have been included just for the fun of it. A considerably large ammount of players is recommended in order to play this map. Due to the size i'd say 10 players on each side. There's some text placed in the sky. I'm not sure what the meaning of that is but it's probably to promote a clan or something. Promotion in maps is always bad. This is a kick ass map, fast playing and very fun! (For Typhoon Rising)
transport/interception purposes than assault spport. The objecive is located deep within a jungle, so dense that vehicles wont be effective, you'll have to proceed on foot, once you're near the objective watch out for enemies looking through the cover rows as they can get a good view of you inside the fotress, your team will have to assult the multiple compartments in the fortress to secure it, to complicate matters , you only have 1 point of entry so a well coordinated attack is critical
fun when testplaying it :) Hope you enjoy it to. Knock yourselves out! For Joint Ops Escalation
of ladders so you can lurk around up in the air. Check it out.
battle. Good luck you dont loose your head. It will take a lot of team work to maintain control of the zone. (This is a map for JO: Escalation)
roger n the spinmap ;) Good for only handguns and knives. no vehicles. 4 spawns. Hope you like it! Contact me if something needs fixing on www.fffsquad.com
sight is extremely limited. There is a lot of vegetation so that gives lots of opportunity to hide. Download this!
work on normal JO. Im not saying that it wont work. It just depends on your computer. I have loaded it up on Normal JO before and the only thing that i noticed was that it didnt show the mod assets.)
cover your ass!!!/its not a map for the lazy player stay alive in the zone and keep a lot works for the medics/no spawns!!!/i hope you have a lot of fun in this map,its a really jungle map grts by VLG-slibknot.
defend the city from the JO who have a base on the outskirts of the city and can use vehicles to get into the city. The Rebs have no vehicles but can take .50 Cal positions around the city. Kind of a unique map that brings a situation the army deals with everyday
a team you will need that to hold the zone-Have a lot of fun with this map.

bikes and a couple of .50 cal SUV\'s. I made this map mostly to take advantage of Escalation\'s newest features, tanks, bikes, the apache, and transportation for the paratroopers. Have lots of fun! Feel free to convert this map to TDM, DM, or whatever you wish, just please don\'t change the layout too much and don\'t change the title in any way, thanks! admin of Mercs Elite say\'s its the best custom he has ever seen, including his day\'s of BHD. Any way enough of the big headednes, lol. This is a TKOTH map, a small village with plenty of cover, take a good look around as there is plenty of hiding spaces to pick the enemy out!Have fun and look out for more of my maps on the way. it may come in handy!some nice hiding spots, will take plenty of team work to keep or get the zone! For Joint Ops Escalation
swim ;) . Also some buildings have been placed on the islands. They\'re not that big, I\'d say medium sized. There aren\'t any control points. I think you just need to capture the ship. I like the design, this is something that makes you want to play this map over and over again.
throughout the map. Of course you can also chose to hide inside one of the many buildings. You can try taking the helicopter, but it\'s not easy getting into the area where the helicopter is located since it is totally surrounded by walls. I don\'t really understand the point of the helicopter since the map is not that big and there is really no need for one. It does however present a good oportunity for a air assault. There are also some trees which are sort of \'leaning\' towards a building so you can get up a building easily by walking on the tree. I liked how the overall map turned out. it\'s not too big and it\'s not too small either. It\'s just perfect for 2 small teams who want to have some quality time. I\'d say, give it a download.
now. For Escalation Only.
sniping spots. Looks pretty neat. It is for Escalation only.
like how the lighting works. it gives an interesting \'feel\' to the map. I will write the rest of the review as soon as I buy Escalation. I have been searching but no of the stores had a copy.
