Since that release, we have been constantly working on our Mod, to improve it, expand it, and fix the things we could. In the meantime, ArmA 2 has been released for about 6 months, and our attention has been on the mod for ArmA 2, for at least that long. Today we would like to announce our Public Beta Release. We intend to keep updating our Mod on a daily basis in this Public Beta stage. We do this to get as much feedback and bug reports as possible, as soon as possible, and provide everyone the latest code to test. This means the development will be ongoing, new improvements and additions will arrive as we go. What is A.C.E. and what is it not A.C.E. for ArmA 2 is a full conversion mod and is based on A.C.E. for ArmA 1, which was based on WGL for OFP. The WGL roots were "When realism matters". We lifted this already a little bit with A.C.E. 1. And with A.C.E. 2 it is no different. We try to keep a balance between realism and gameplay. We try not to sacrifice either in name of the other. We try to please as many as possible, but it is simply impossible to please all. Please feel free to give constructive feedback on our choices. The Package The A.C.E. Package for ArmA 2 consists out of 3 building blocks: [*] CBA: Community Base Addons [*] ACE: Core [*] ACEX: eXtras CBA and ACE are a requirement, while ACEX is an optional expansion pack. This way, we hope to support our users who have requested smaller mod size, and ability to concentrate on their type of units/vehicles/weapons for countries they like to play with/against. Note: We will only host the milestone releases! This means to keep your ACE install up to date you should use the provided update tool. More information how to use it can be found on the download page! On our download pages you can find a link to the .rsync folders for each ACE mod file as well. This means you can download the mods simply by using the download links at the bottom of the page. But it also means if you wish (and you really should) to update your ACE beta to the latest version you just download those .rsync files, extract them and put it in your @ACE or @ACEX mod folders. The cam bounces sometime but i did not got the reason for that yet so i could not fix. If you think you found the reason feedback is very much appreciated! - Buildings got a blue frame when selected - You can add units to a selection with holding Shift - You can subtract units from a selection with holding Ctrl -The never ending story with the JIP-Where are you bug: Version 0.4 now copies the units from a disconnecting player to a new group with his Uid before deleting them. The CEO is then able to control the units as all other units with the Hi-Command module - Additionally i "unlocked" the transfer Unit button for more cases. The CEO can now transfer, kill and disband almost all units on his side. This also means he can move a unit from player 2 group to player 8 group even if he is not in these groups. This enables the CEO to give the Units from a disconnected player back to him, when he reconnects to the server. This feature is not fully stable, so i think it is sometimes possible to transfer a player to another group which will destroy the rest of the mission. Please be careful with clicking there, theres also a little sleep inside causing latency which is dangerous for "Fastclickers".... (will be improved in next version of course). v0.3 - optimized with triggers for the UPS-Patrols - fix: bug with the AI group leaders on the respawn island - changed: JIP Bug i tried a solution now to create a new group when a player disconnects v0.2f -Fix: MHQ couldn't be bought after building support BMPs -Fix: Resistance using west vehicles when selecting Coop West AI Module -Fix: Resistance spawning endless number of base defender doing nothing once a static gun has been destroyed and repaired by them again -Feature: Hovering mouse over a unit's picture card will show the health, fuel, magazine count and the shots left in the current magazine -Feature: Support BMP can attach vehicles just like the support chopper -Feature: Added tank shelter template -Feature: Added viewdistance settings -Feature: Unit selections can now be saved to the keys 1,2,3 and 4 -Game Balance Tweak: New cows start with 0 meat. At a certain amount of cows, it was better to meatgrind a newborn cow instead of letting it grow -Game Balance Tweak: Lowered prices for aircrafts -Workaround: To prevent the "Where are you" sound loop bug with JIP, all units of the disconnected player will be killed. Vehicles will be teleported to the vehicle factory. v0.2e -non public beta version v0.2d Beta - Reverted the tractor "fix" of 0.2c - Fix: Tractors tend to sell in one town only in certain situations - Fix: Improved automatic meat selling algorithm. They should sell the meat in more than one town simultaneously now. - Fix: Cows and crates are vanishing when playing with high latency - Feature: Glow balld above the units will indicate wther unit has no fuel or no ammo left - Feature: R key will refuel the selected unit (singular) if there is a fuel truck nearby - Feature: Backspace will stop a moving unit - Feature: Added towns: Pusta and Vyshnoye v0.2c Beta - Fix: Not possible to properly grab the best cow at the southern pasture - Fix: Tractors stopped moving without any reason. The author has put some effort into making this mission feel as authentic as possible, which unfortunatly causes a few performance problems at some points. But this is only the 0.5 version of this mission, and hopefully all these minor issues will be fixed in the finished version. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result. by Force Recon of insurgent poppy seed production facilities North east of Krasnostav has impeded the smuggler's activities, but drugs continue to flow out of the region. We believe the drug smuggling operation to be centered around the Russian-controlled island of Utes, just off of the Chernarussian coast. Force Recon is to infiltrate Utes and strike at this drug manufacturing center. Since Utes is under Russian control, a helicopter insertion is too risky. You will approach the island from the NE under cover aboard a civilian fishing boat. Your primary objective to to destroy the drug consignments at Utes airfield, and at the insurgents' drug factory. But first, as we speak, the Russian T-72 night crew are preparing to move out and begin their patrol. Can you eliminate them before they protect themselves in a 40tonne case of steel? In addition, (optionally) he will watch a specified direction at that waypoint. The unit will move to the waypoints in order, and will loop when the last waypoint is reached. When the unit becomes alerted they will move more cautiously, and (optionally) will move to a specified position until they resume SAFE mode, at which point they resume the patrol. You can also cease the patrol by passing the script a condition. By ceasing the patrol you can allow the unit to move freely, leaving the building, whatever you want. Once the patrol is ceased the script terminates, so you have to execute it again to resume the patrol afterward.

that allows the proper simulation of multiple muzzle/launch positions for any type of weapon. As of Operation Arrowhead, the engine natively supports multiple muzzles (at least for bullet firing weapons), but this addon is still compatable with those vehicles that use this new native feature, and can still be used for addons if the native solution is not possible/preferable. As of v2.0 of this addon, there is a new feature that allows weapons with multiple muzzle/launch positions to converge on a single point at a given distance. This feature is present for ArmA 2 stand alone, but currently the range can not be adjusted by the player. In Operation Arrowhead, this feature is tied to the native zeroing system; your rounds will converge at the range at which you are currently zeroed. Note: some BIS vehicles that use convergence do not allow zeroing. In this case, a fixed convergence range is used. In addition, this addon includes a system that allows addon makers to easily enable multiple barrels/launch positions for new vehicles using only model and config changes and little scripting knowledge. This file also includes an optional addon to enable zeroing for the 2S6M Tunguska's 2A38M guns (seperate readme included).

In addition, this addon includes a system that allows addon makers to easily enable multiple barrels/launch positions for new vehicles using only model and config changes and little scripting knowledge.
