He claims he made the rotation and strafing better, increased speed and added more shielding. Majin Revan also says that it now can carry nine passengers. Um, I\'m not sure how many it could \"hold\" before, but yay! Personally, I don\'t see much of a difference between this and the original. ~AmosMagee

Jango's Slave 1

slave1_jango.zip | 2.66 MB

author of this mod, Maxloef has changed quite a few things to make this more like Jango’s Slave 1 as seen in Episode 2. He has put a new skin on (which was made by Extremex) so the ship now has Jango’s distinctive blue paintwork and has also changed the weapons, sounds and effects and even the vehicles health and stats too! All this makes this much more like the Slave 1 from Episode 2, so well done to the author there. :) If the changes look good to you, why not give it a download. ;) ~Nozyspy~

[SCA] Clan Vehicles

sca_cvf_pack.zip | 6.92 MB

or simply provide some new toys for us JK3 fiends to blow each other up in. However, theres no new vehicle models in this pack, all you will have seen before. What we have here is simply a re-hash of some of the more popular ones, except now they have new [SCA]-based skins. Okay. So yeah, these are models for a clan... *shudder.* However, they haven't been totally plastered with stupidly colorful logos or contain flying banners which pop out asking you to join the clan ;) There are references, such as the vehicle names imprinted on the sides and stuff, but for the most part these are just re-skinned and re-'polished.' Yeah, the tcGen shine shader has been a little overused in this pack - practically everything shines, which isn't too bad considering they're all metal vehicles, but not all metal shines. :( Skin-wise, your best bet is to check out the screens and see for yourself, after all, a picture is a thousand words! What you can't see in the screens however, are the new weapon effects which come with the vehicles. I'm fairly sure they're simply default effects but with new flashy colours, but hey, they still look nice - the only problem was controlling some of the blasted things; I dare anyone to be able to effectively control that turret! Overall? Well there's nothing new these vehicles can offer gameplay-wise if you've seen the originals, this pack is more like a paint-job than a redesign, but I found the designs quite appealing, and some of the engines and weapon effects are pretty nifty. Of course, if you hate clans, you should stop reading now. :) ~Szico VII~

Clone Wars: Hunt for Grevious Republic Gunship

cloneship.zip | 1.44 MB

aired on Cartoon Network a few years ago. This gunship skin is allegedly from it. Seeing as I never was that heavily into the clone wars series, I don\'t recognize this. However, this ship definitely sets itself apart from its brethren, at least from the gunships I\'ve seen. First off, it has the right flight sound, which is good. Second, rather than just firing nothing but missles, this one fires lasers and a missle. The skin, while not not in my tastes, personally, is very accurate to the vessel it attempts to portray. The only things I see that would detract from its accuracy would be: - The blue you used was much darker than the original. - The interiors don\'t match. Other than that, minus the cel-shading, this vessel definitely means business. Much more versatile than its brethren, this gunship makes a fine addition to any Clone Wars nut\'s base folder. bland and underworked. To me it looks like a negative photograph of a Jedi Starfighter made to look like a Jedi Starfighter. Doesn\'t really feel like a new vehicle to me and it even replaces the existing one if you have it. Not a bad first try. Could have put more effort into it, but without trying you\'ll never get good. :) - Chrono

Swoop Ultra

swoop_ultra_v2.zip | 1.27 MB

covered in the read-me. I'm not sure why you can spawn it as swoop_mp and swoop_ultra (seems like a waste of an overwrite to me), but it works as it's supposed to which is the important part. Old Review:
This is a reskin of the swoop bike. It is a simple recolor of the black variant, turning it kind of a pinkish purple color. While simple, it still looks very snazzy, although there are several places where the overlaid color overlaps a section it's not supposed to, so a little more attention to detail would be better next time. You probably won't notice that, though. There are a couple of problems with this mod. Firstly, it has the same bug the regular swoop does in MP - no texture! If I had to guess the reason for this, I would guess it is because the VEH file for the swoop is set up differently than swoop_mp, leading me to believe the SP engine is capable of something the MP engine isn't. This also explains why they bothered making an MP specific swoop variant. So it is my assumption that unless you tweak the VEH file, you're going to get the good ol' textureless swoop. To fix that, open the .VEH file with notepad and change the skin line to just say "ultra" rather than "ultra|blah|blah|etc". I assume MP can't handle that kind of string, and it surprises me that the author didn't double check that before submitting. In any case, though, it's an easy fix, and even without the fix you could still play with this skin in SP with no problems. If you hadn't guessed by now, there's also a mistake in the read-me. It says to spawn the swoop, use "/npc spawn vehicle swoop_ultra". Well, it won't take you long to figure out "swoop_ultra" doesn't exist as a vehicle. In fact, the author here overwrote the original swoop, so you'll need to use "/npc spawn vehicle swoop" to get this bike, and the normal swoop is kaput as a result. In short, you can feel free to use this for SP, or you can fix the VEH file and use it in MP. Hopefully a v2 fix will be put out to make it not overwrite, and fix the VEH file, because even despite the simplicity of this skin it's got a really great look and it's a shame that it's not 100% functional.
~Inyri

The Black-Mage

the_black_mage.zip | 2.41 MB

Starfighter as the base for his personalized vehicle skin. Personally I find the skin a little bland and boring, but at the same time I find it kind of neat. It\'s lacking in creativity, but it fits its name. For those who aren\'t aware, black mages are characters from the Final Fantasy series, seen in quite a few (if not all) of the games. Blue is kind of their color, which explains why this starfighters is completely blue. It also has a picture of a classic black mage on the cockpit. Unfortunately it looks like the author just took a square picture and dropped it over the top without cutting out the image or doing anything with it. Overall for a personalized vehicle skin I\'m sure it works fine, but as something to submit for the entire community\'s use it could use a little work. Keep practicing, though. ~Inyri

be red and black. Well, there are two styles in here. The first one, is the same as Anakin\'s version with the white and blue subbed for red and black, and the second is just like the former only with some chrome panels and a hotrod design on the nose. Anyway, in all respects except coloration, this functions just like the original JSF with one minor difference - the secondary weapon has been changed from torpedoes to homing missiles. Kinda hax-ey as far as JKA\'s flying goes, but whatever. If you like the look of this, give it a download. However, bear in mind that these will overwrite Zymotico\'s vehicle, and therefore you can only have one of them in your base folder at a time. ~ Kouen

the original skin. That\'s the extent of the work on this, as far as I can see. The author hasn\'t even gone to the effort to change the NPC and vehicle files to make this a non-overwrite, which is actually quite a simple task to do. Anyway, it\'s nice to see that instead of mediocre player skins, we get a vehicle skin which is frankly quite boring, but hey, if you like it, give it a download. ~ Kouen

Max\'s Hate

turbolasers! Eh, maybe that\'s just my desire to blow stuff up in one fell swoop. In any case, this recolor of [file=\"36781\"]Manquesa\'s Slave 1[/file], using [file=\"57172\"]MaxLoef\'s Slave 1[/file] sounds, is meant to be the ship of the bounty hunter Max-Tex. It is colored black and red (very typical, yes?) and features the Punisher logo on the side. This vehicle was made primarily for RPG\'s, so if you\'re into those, or are a member of this user\'s RPG group, you may want to give it a download. It\'s not all that shabby looking either, so it may be cool to have all on its own. ~Inyri

Now the second one was the Tavion walker, You go inside her and she walks bassicly like any other model would except that you can\'t jump or step to the right or left. These vehicles are very original and fun to play, So for people who are in for a good laugh this is something for them to check out. -~*Buffy*~-

These are fairly straight-forward recolors and unfortunately completely recolor the vehicle and droid, so unfortunately some of the shading detail is lost. Past critiques don't seem to have been taken into consideration for this skin. Outlines, especially for the pink sections, are still sloppy and 'outside the lines' in some cases. Hopefully he doesn't ignore this suggestion for his next work; a little more effort and attention could really make for a good vehicle reskin. I'd recommend looking into a different recoloring technique so as to retain some of the texture variation. Other than the pink trim, it's a very monotone skin. ~Inyri
