for reference. The saber seems to be a little bit longer and slimmer with some yellow lights and is black and grey. Khaliban has gone as far as replacing the saber icons on the HUD to match his creation. I am so glad that this file was made because I myself was getting tired of using the default saber. The author did an awesome job at making this a complete package. In the readme there is a little story explaining his reasons for the design, and it makes sense. What are you waiting for? start downloading this now…… I said now! Maddog
that the sounds were annoying so the sounds for this sword are optional and added in a separate pk3. I have played the Soul Reaver series and think this sword is awesome and looks like the original. The sounds aren’t to bad but some original sounds would be much better :) . Makes me want to fire up my PS2 (it is kinda dusty) and get back into the other world. Don’t let the small file size fool you this is the real deal. Great job, keep up the good work. Maddog

is no real detail in this skin making it look very plain. I like the author’s attempt of redoing the scope, it makes it look like your looking through real crosshairs. The added sounds are good but sound sort of like a handgun. Good job, the skin leaves a little to be desired but an overall decent job. Maddog
the default saber in the game, the second is mod compatible and the third replaces Luke’s saber in the game. The saber also changes on the HUD replacing Kykle\'s saber with this one. This is the second saber model we have seen from Khaliban and they keep on getting better. To think something this great took only five hours to make. As I mentioned above the author has taken into consideration all of the JK2 community with three different ways t use this file. Great job, I can’t wait to see more of your work. Maddog
all-important Binford logo from Home Improvement. It also replaces your saber in the SP version of the game. I\'m a sucker for new weapons, and this one is absoutely fantastic. Unfortunately, there are a few limitations in JK2 which you have to watch out for. It only replaces the blue saber, so all your non-blue saber blades will appear to stick out of the end of the saw blade. Also, the glow on the ground still follows the player around. But these are minor issues, really. VERY excellent work. It\'s too bad the limitations of JK2 keep this from being a 100% clean replacement, but it\'s definitely close enough for me to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. complaints. In both Red and Blue stance, the character holds the gunblade, flat of the blade facing out. That doesn\'t look very good. Also, the sounds just dont cut it... I mean, go hit the wall, and listen to that. It does NOT sound like a gunblade sliding along the wall. It sounds like some weird techno banging on garbage cans musical. When you swing the blade and it slices air, it does sound good, just.... dont hit the wall :P. For a first model however, this IS good. The blade itself looks good, as good as can be for jk2, at least. If you\'re a FF8 fan, and you want a gunblade to hack away at enemies instead of a saber, I would suggest this model. Just... turn down your sounds some, and dont use red stance ;) [Installation Note] Dispite what the readme says, you do NOT create a new directory inside GameData to install. color and adding some things to it.
Big improvement! The skin has some great shading on it, and the blue tint really does help too. There is no warping either (which is a big plus ;)) so it looks great in-game.
(read the backstory below). The interesting part is the glow has a design running through the middle, and the saber trail has been altered giving it a very smooth appearance. Once again, the only problem I have with this is 1.) the glows were not kept separate from the hilt, and 2.) there is no mod support. Other than that, chalk up another good file that can only get better. - Chrono Mod Support: No New Textures: Yes New Sounds: No

sounds were changed, accordingly, but the sounds were lacking the \"oomph\" that one would expect from a large sword such as this. The sword itself looks good, but the handle just doesn\'t look like an eagle to me. Though, considering the size that it is, all detail most likely would be lost anyway. If you prefer a more traditional sword rather than a saber, then you might want to check this model/skin out. :) ~AmosMagee
selection portion of JediMod/JediPlus. Excellent job on the modelling and skinning. Obviously a great deal of time was put into this. Only downside is that you willneed to tell your JediMod/JediPlus not to use the "tck_saber" color section system. You can turn it off in the console by typing "tck_saber 0". Then choose the blue saber, pick your sword from the hilt options, and you're set! - Astyanax
hilts The SaeseeTiin, Ultimate and Obi Wan Kenobi. Some of the clipping errors were dealt with concerning the SaeseeTiin Hilt. The SaeseeTiin and Ultimate hilts have received some new shaders to spruce up their looks. What else can I say here? The public asked for it and they got it. The new shaders look good but I didn’t actually think they could get any better. main things I don’t do with guns in the JK games is play them in first person. Ugh. I really hate to say it, but JK games aren’t UT or Halo. I’ve always played them in third person. Thankfully though, this pistol works quite well. Most CTF’ers know that this weapon is pretty deadly in a gun verse gunfight, and I think that many imperial players will enjoy getting to use this. While this gun doesn’t come with new sounds, it DOES feature a bonus skin that has team colors. Kind of neat, and a it’s a nice added touch for those of you who want something other than a storm trooper with this gun. Altogether, this is a nice model to use. sword and this mod will also replace the saber sounds with those of sword-like swishing sounds. Also gone are the sparks and smoke a saber would make and this sword will not leave marks on a wall. While I\'m not one to use a sword mod, I can\'t see any reason those who do prefer them wouldn\'t want to try this one out. Though, the sounds seem a little ... hmmm ... weak, for lack of a better term. The blade isn\'t as thin as the sounds make it sound, if that makes sense. they’ve been brought out into the open. The Diago hilt is the latter of these two things. Right off the bat, this is one of the coolest light saber hilts I’ve seen for quite some time. It’s just an awesome looking light saber hilt, what can I say.;) What makes this cool first off, is the fact that it has been made from the ground up, that’s something that’s often over looked when a file is submitted. The time it took to actually put this hilt together, and have it come together in the end so well is often under appreciated. The author, Kensai didn’t build up off of an already existing hilt or copy anything although it is apparent from the Readme file that he wanted a cooler, better looking Plo Koon hilt. While there are a few things that are reminiscent between the two saber hilts, truth be told Kensai did his work well, as I find this much cooler. Mission accomplished Kensai! Now here are some pretty cool facts about the Diago hilt. First off if you use a Modification that allows you to choose multiple saber hilts this one is compatible and will appear in your list. Two it has got to have one of the coolest selection icons I’ve seen in a long time.:D It sits down in your weapon selection bar with its own icon looking vicious as ever, which I’m glad to see. It’s always a plus when the saber you’re using actually looks like the one you switch to in the menu :P In game it’s a good size, not terribly huge or small but looks like something you’d definitely want to bring into a duel. What else can I say? This is an awesome light saber hilt, what are you waiting for? Get this puppy in your base folder and get to sabering! Rock on -=Sai-Wan=-

Just a word from the Author regarding this :D:
bear in mind this is by no means a finished work, while the models, textures and sounds are complete, i haven't coded out the saber glow, the hud files do not display properly and it only has basic efx triggers (no new animations are included... /\^_^ )
The saber glow does look a little "weird" but I can live with it ;) Larger screenshot so you can see it better :):
This is decent file, looks a little funny but that’s what it is supposed to look like. I had to place the file in my base and use it in my Jedi Plus mod to get it to work. or know how send the author an email. This model is really cool and looks great in game. My only complaints (they are minor ones :)) are that when it is fired the charge looks like it comes from the player’s hands or their unmentionable area, and the skin on the model could be a little better. If you are a Boba Fett fan or like heavy artillery download this file and start bounty hunting today. This file should make for some cool pics with the Mandalorian model. Great job. Maddog

seen the show, I think this hilt is quite nice. Black Wing has obviously taken extra care with the textures, and although I\'m not much of a fan of the color of the hilt, the pattern works. The criss-crossing lines and coloration make the hilt almost look like a bone of some kind, and the three \"jewels\" a tthe base are a nice touch. I found the hilt to be just a bit too large, but not enough to be an annoyance. Great job! Astyanax

many of Sithmaster555s skins – it needs a lot of work. What I seem to be seeing with his weapons is that the textures look like a cramped photosourcing. This would mean that better UV mapping is needed. While the authors normal method for skinning weapons technically works, it looks terrible. All that was skinned was the sides of the model, and they look very blurry. So my main thoughts for this model are that improved UV mapping and skinning is needed. Although the model is really simple, it still works. But it still could be a little more complex. But let’s just worry about the skin right now. ~Zach
saber hilt looks great! You can see it in game so it\'s not like a \"hidden detail\" kinda thing ;) Nice rusted metal effect!
is well suited to dark Jedi because of the black style and \'bits that stick out\' - it has that feel to it. The design and skinning is tidy and well done. The reason the fins look this smooth is a relative high poly count, it is still under 2,000 but for a hilt that is relatively small in game I\'d say that is a lot. Those of you who take your hilts seriously however, I\'m sure the higher poly count will please. Oh almost forgot, this pack has 4 color variations of the hilt just for that extra bit of customisation...I don\'t fully understand why this is in 4 separate PK3\'s however. -WadeV1589-

inter-twine. A shader has been applied to make them look quite metallic. This is not bad for a saber reskin, but it does have some problems. I don\'t know if this is intentional, but if you run it as any saber color other than blue, the saber blade appears mixed in with this new sword, so you must run it as blue. That would normally be fine, but even as blue, the blue blade will appear when you\'re swinging. Maybe it\'s supposed to be that way. Also the standard saber sounds are still there, so I found this mod to be just a little incomplete. Still, it\'s pretty cool looking, and you Zelda fans should enjoy it. Astyanax

flechette gun with a shotgun, both in first person and third person views. It still fires the same kind of shot and ammo, but with a new model and new sounds it really does make the gun seem more like a shotgun. It has one of the more typical flaws with this kind of weapon -- many of the sides stretch due to not being UV mapped properly. This is a very common mistake, so hopefully the author will correct this for future models. However in the grand scheme of things it won't be noticeable, so don't let it stop you from downloading this snazzy-looking shotgun! Two variants of this gun are included -- the typical black and a desert variant. Remember to only choose one! ~Inyri
This not only looks cool, but because of where the beam is located, changes the way lightsaber combat works a bit, too. It makes lightsaber battles a bit more up close and personal :)
The hilt reminds me of a knife like thing :D
sleek design, almost aerodynamic it would seem, allows for a truly unique look while still maintaining the classic Star Wars theme. It may just be me, but I would say this was Episode 1 inspired. The design matches the architectural style of that installment to a T. Take for instance the gradual sloping on the hilt’s ends and the silvery, reflective quality, created through a wonderful use of shaders, that can be seen all along the surface of the hilt. While the hilt can be used for dual- or single-bladed sabers, it looks a little awkward to be running around with a really long hilt and not have a blade coming out one end. As such, I would only recommend this download to players who play exclusively, or at least semi-exclusively, on servers that run some sort of mod that allows for the use of double-bladed sabers. And, since it’s designed with these mods in mind, it will be added to the list of saber hilts in mods that give the option to choose. It’s very nice and it is more than obvious that a lot of work went into this hilt. Good job. I can’t wait to see what DBerko has in store for Jedi Academy. :D -daku

and a skull build up the hilt to this particular blade, and the blade rises out malevolently, destroying all in its path. This mod will remove all saber blades and changes all saber sounds, so beware all who cross it =_=. Only recommended changes I can see lie in the symmetry of the blade. version one review to heart, but rather simply added lots more weapons with the same quality as the first version. This produces something of a win-lose situation: we win, because there's lots of variety to choose from, but we lose because it's not of the caliber it could be if he had listened to his original reviewer's advice. There are seven melee weapons for you to choose from with this pack: Spear of the Sith, Axe of Emerald, Sword of Sapphire, Sword of Black Metal, Sword of Ruby, Sword of Lava, and Sword of Purple Liquid. Descriptive names, no? I didn't look at all seven weapons in detail, but the ones I did see seemed very consistent so I'm going to assume, based on that and on the screenshots, that the comments I can make of those I did look at will apply to all the weapons. Here are my crits, for hopeful improvement on future models. They've got a little bit too much mesh detail in comparison to the (lack of) detail in the textures. The meshes have an excessive amount of edges, especially in curved areas (hey, this is Jedi Outcast, not Half-Life 2!) and the detail isn't really necessary. However the level of detail in the mesh and in the texture should really balance, and the model detail far outweighs the texture detail, of which there is little to none. Another nice addition to any future models would be detailed UV maps and more detailed textures. Random application of stock textures almost never results in a nice-looking product, and this is really no exception. Overall a lot more attention needs to be paid attention to these, to ensure that the final product is just as good as the original concept. ~Inyri
looks too big. It looks like the plasma pistol, but in giant form. So that’s first thing that needs to be changed. The second one that needs to be changed is making the first person view work. What Sithmaster555 did was have it named briar_pistol_w.md3. What it should have been is briar_pistol.md3. Remember, to have something overwrite, it needs to have the same name as the original. Oh, and on the matter of the first person view, the author needs to rotate the model so it actually shows up. And easy way to do this is import another first person view of a model and then make it so your gun is rotated the same way as the imported model. After that make the required adjustments. One thing I did when I was trying to make weapons was to put two different sized cubes to the left and right of the model, and then rotated/moved the model towards whichever cube I wanted it moved to. So as the first person view is now, it’s just nothing, although if you take falling damage you can see it for a second. The skinning on the model isn’t the best, but can be improved with practice. But then, nobody’s perfect. Although…it is kind of blurry and indistinct. Oh, another thing I noticed is that some effects are conflicting, namely the effect for when a charged shot hits the wall. That’s one thing. Another thing is that the shot color has been redone, as well as the sounds. Now that’s a good thing, except for the glow on the lights under weapon spawns is now tinged a light green color. Basically, this is a good attempt at making the Plasma Pistol from Halo. Now, it won’t work in Jedi Academy without some tweaking, so Jedi Outcast users can revel in having something the Jedi Academy users don’t! :p Granted, it still needs work, but it’s still a good attempt. ~Zach
MP and SP versions of the game. The HUD doesn’t change it still displays the original default saber. Not a bad model but the skin leaves a little to be desired in my opinion. do other things, and improves. Some people would give up. Others would whine. But I’m glad to see that Sithmaster555 has just taken it, and improved. It may not be much, but it is an improvement. This is a small collection of saber replacements for Jedi Outcast. Yes, Outcast. If you haven’t noticed it yet, but Sithmaster555 only mods for Jedi Outcast. Why, I’m not sure, but I don’t care. Anyways, the models, as you might expect, are simple, with simple skinning that might not look really grand, but you really don’t pay attention to sabers in Jedi Outcast, because everyone’s is the same! So – there are three sabers included: a rapier, a saber, and Tang Chinese War Sword. As I said, the models are simple, but they work. In fact, the biggest thing that needs work is the UV mapping, and skinning. The skinning is indistinct, and could contain more detail – that’s where UV mapping comes in. If you map it in a way that is easy for you to skin, you can put detail wherever you want it, rather than having to squish it all into a small area. But actually, these don’t look too bad in-game. Nice job Sithmaster555. Remember: practice, while it may not necessarily mean perfect – really helps you improve. If you people like these, then download them. Remember, they’re made for Jedi Outcast, so they’re not set up for Jedi Academy, and you can only have one in your base folder at a time. ~Zach Note: Version two of this mod can be found [file="79073"]here[/file]. Because version two does not include these weapons, it will remain fully accessible and will not use the typical version redirect. Be sure to check it out, though!
on both ends of the hilt, very Sith like in my opinion. I followed the author’s instructions for download and I couldn’t get the hilt to work so I added it to my JediPlus folder and it is selectable there.
