The game consists of two distinct phases: "Build Phase" and "Combat Phase". During the build phase players create structures out of building materials located in the map to defend both the flag and team. After the initial build time is the combat phase, during which the players are given weapons according to their chosen class and attempt to capture the enemy's flag. The combat and build phases then alternate until the end of the round. [*] ADDED - Events for scoring, touching flags, returning flags, many more. - map_restart [time until restart] -> map_restart [time] 1 - Resets map, but keeps scores. - league_flipteams - league_flipscores - league_flip - Flips teams and scores. - Added French language file. - cl_help (default : 1). This is harder then it sounds since the other team will most likely have build an entire fort worthy of Mordor during the build phase to protect their flag. You can however unfreeze the enemies objects with the engineer class ( more about the classes below ) to make a hole in their defenses. The result is total mayhem where you have to defend your walls/structures, try to find a breach or create one in your enemies base, try not to get killed and get their flag and at the same time lay waste to the opposite team. This results in a awesome chaotic match with a different twist each round. The mod also has several different classes which each have their ups and downs. [b]A must have mod if you're into CTF with a twist, also a great mod to play over lan with a bunch of buddies, fun guaranteed[/b] [u]Note that this trailer doesn't represent the latest version[/u] [i][b]Scout[/b] This is the fastest class, the main role of which is to dodge enemy fire and get the flag. With the unique ability to fire when sprinting, the Scout is a formidable class, albeit one that is difficult to master in a match situation. It is armed with the Submachine Gun (SMG), 9mm pistol, grenades and the crowbar, and has 100 hit points (HP) and 15 armor points (AP). [b]Soldier[/b] The slowest class but with most armor. Often used for shooting from barricades or leading an all out assault, the strong armor of the Soldier makes it an effective class and difficult to kill, but can be overcome by a quick opponent aiming for the head. It is armed with the Combine Overwatch Pulse Rifle, 9mm pistol, a stunstick and grenades, and has 100 HP and 75 AP. [b]Engineer[/b] The second-weakest and second-slowest of the classes, the Engineer makes up for the lack of health and armour with its abilities. Using the Gravity Gun (the only class which can use it in the Combat Phase), the Engineer can repair their own team's panels and blocks, unfreeze and modify blocks in combat, and unfreeze/steal enemy blocks to make holes for fellow teammates to enter. The Gravity Gun also has other combat uses, such as using panels as projectile weapons, as well as picking up armed grenades and lobbing them over walls and long distances. A little known (and useful) fact is that the Gravity Gun can heal friendly players, by left clicking on them. The Engineer is armed with the Gravity Gun, shotgun, 9mm pistol, grenades and stunstick, and has 80 HP and 20 AP. [b]Rocketeer[/b] Perhaps the most potent class in the game in terms of sheer stopping power, the Rocketeer's main weapon is the rocket launcher (RPG), which shoots off dumb-fire rockets (the laser painter sight guidance system from Half-Life 2 removed). Often the choice of class by new players, leading to the term of being dubbed a 'rocket-whore', experienced players master the timing and ballistics of the RPG as a weapon, and use it to rocket jump over the highest walls, some able to predict the movement of other players and intercept with well-timed rockets. Rocket launching is also used in the game as a 'party trick' - firing a rocket at an enemy's feet will cause their ragdoll to fly sometimes hundreds of feet into the air and across the map. The Rocketeer is armed with the Rocket-Propelled Grenade Launcher (RPG), SLAM mines, grenades, 9mm pistol and the stunstick, and has 100 HP and 40 AP. [b]Sniper[/b] The weakest and slowest (along with the Soldier) class, the sniper is armed with the powerful crossbow. A difficult class to master due to often fast moving players, experienced and well dug-in snipers can be welcome assets on the battlefield. The class is armed with the crossbow, 9mm pistol, grenades and stunstick, and has 75 HP with no armor. [/i]

Once the combat phase has ended, it's back to build, where players can repair, improve, and change their creations to ready them for the next combat phase. v1.9.0 has scrapped the money system, and instead takes advantage of a player class system. This gives players many different ways to play the game, while still keeping it balanced no matter how long a single game has gone on. The five classes include the heavy hitting Soldier, the quick and nimble Scout, the fort wrecking Rocketeer, the long range Sniper, and the Builder, which allows players to continue to build even after the build phase has ended. The Builder can build, repair, and steal enemy blocks, making his an essential role on any team. SourceForts v1.9.0 brings updated versions of classic maps, such as sf_abandon, sf_fieldtrip, and sf_valley, as well as the brand new sf_magma, sf_reservoir, sf_rooftop, and sf_nowhere.[/quote] This release of sourceforts sorts out a HUGE amount of the bugs which were plaguing this mod. Now, with a stable release and Linux binaries we can see it shine! Note : -It may be advisable for some people, after the steam update to run this mod with the –‘dxlevel 81’ command line modifier to help improve performance.

of the town and has entity spawners, ammo crates and health chargers inside either saloon. Fear not for the small space in the saloon however, because the flag is moveable. On either side of the saloon there are two non-enterable buildings: stables and a town hall. The town hall should provide good sniper coverage if you build a bunker there... this map is very dusty with several func_dustclouds around (which I think adds atmosphere) however, these dustclouds can cause serious slowdown (because there are alot of them) so server admins, I would advise using the console command \"ent_fire func_dustcloud kill\" if preformance drops too much. sadly I was not able to beta test this one, (my damn internet wont let me start a server) so I don\'t know exactley how it plays...but I hope you enjoy it! This map was created, tested, and thought up by Theotherguy. The screenshots were taken during a public beta test, and the version they represent may not look exactley like the version included in this .zip file, which is much newer.

The map itself is fairly big it has 2 main (build rooms) one that is top level and one is downstairs,There are 3 roots to each base , 1.Though the middle(though main room), 2. up the top way (over main room) and 3. a crack in the wall in the under build room (which leads to a underground).

glass boxes around either base in buildmode. I beleive that this gives each base more of a home-like feeling, and makes nomans land seem like complete hell...Each team has a large base with two ramps, ent spawners, three gigantic doors and two very large skylights. The flag is in the center of each base so that it can be best defended by the builders.
