I would like to thank the entire team for helping in this project to improve the quaility of Elite Force roleplaying and we believe that we've got that, although we admit that it was a disapointment when we found out the model system could not be done without the source code to the holomatch exe, however it was a bigger disapointment when ID Software delayed the release of the source because some company brought a lience for the Q3 engine in late December 2004. We know there are a few bugs but we've all been really busy so there will be small patches in the up coming months when we get time. In this file we have included the following maps: rpg_posiedon This is the Posiedon B! Check out the tatical console with all it's different alert status. rpg_runabout An interactive runabout map where you can go outside into space, but first go into the room with all the clothes and use them, you should notice a sign saying you have put on an EVA suit - now you can surive outside in space! This map is a techonolgoy test of all of RPG-X's new mapping entities so the .map file has been included inside the pk3 file. rpg_chambers This map is the very first map for RPG-X and is our version of a court room / meeting area. Also included are a ton, and I mean a ton of new player models have been added. These models have had their animations changed around so instead of craching you will now sit and you also will not long "bounce" up and down. These models have the prefix "rpgx_" on them. Short time later, with some info, it appear to me quite easy for a coder to change the EF HM code to be able to support Q3 map. The Snerd gave a small ammount of time on it, but it never result of something working. He was, and he is still taken by his amazing CooP mod. After, the Lt. Cmdr. Salinga toke it over. Few month, later, here it is! The Q32EF mod is finaly out! Every Q3 and Q3TA map is now working PERFECTLY on this mod. However, the best is to use custom Q3 map with custom texture and model. But, you can use the basic Q3/Q3TA map from ID with a small editing of the Q3 pak0.pk3. For that, get the small instruction text that are on the official Q32EF site. (http://q32ef.fragland.net) When installed, you can play both EF and Q3 map. So, server admin, we push you to get this mod, and get some GREAT Q3 map. ;) Even if the logo and the idea is from me, the whole coding is from Salinga. With the upcoming CooP and the monthly upgraded IRez, this mod take EF to a new stage. ENJOY!

fun on it. The Blue team's goal is to defend the posts, which are located at, and near Blue's spawn point. The red team's goal is to take a bomb, place it at a post, and run like heck ;). You can't difuse bombs, so if Red gets a bomb at one, you will have to defeat all Red's before the bomb explodes to win. You start with a Phaser and Compression rifle. There are two ways to get weapons: The first is to defeat an enemy and take their weapon (Duh), and the second is a Counter Strike port: If you press Esc, Go to Configure, Controls, then Reply, you'll see a "Buy Menu" at the bottom. Assign that to a key, then press it in-game to buy Weapons or Armor. It aint free though: Killing enemies gives you Points, and they are your "Currency" There are some catches too (Good AND Bad...): - Your Armor and Weapons are carried round to round - If you die, you must stay out for the rest of the round and your weapons will be taken away, leaving you with a Phaser and Compression Rifle only. This isn't the full mod, however. The team is planning Hostage and Assassination modes, as well as new maps. They will also release a tutorial on how to build maps that will be compatible with the mod. All in All, this is one of the best EF mods I've ever played. It takes the depth of Counter Strike, the most played Game/Mod on the internet, and ports it to EF. My only complaint would be: "Why didn't someone think of this sooner?!?" :D DOWNLOAD NOW!!!

once the bomb has been placed, the other team has 10 seconds to disarm it before it explodes, killing everything near it (and giving the team that placed it, 1 team point). The bomb carrier is vunerable like a flag carrier since everyone can see who it is (he has a green radiating glow). If the bomb carrier is killed, the bomb will drop where he was. The CTF flags have been replaced by the bomb bases (this is where you must arm the bombs). The physics of the bomb itself are quite fantastic! It can be shot across the map using your weapons, go through transporters, or bounce off jumppads! Even the detpack shockwave affects it! This mod works for any Capture the Flag map and it is completely server sides which means no client downloading is requires in order to play on the server. Mappers wanting to map for this fabulous mod need to include the bomb coordinates in the .arena file for their map. The readme explains how to do this very well. Alternatively, server admins can specify all the origins for the bomb in one bomborigins.cfg (included - with 44 maps already inside). To check what co-ordinates you are at in any map, type "/viewpos" (without quotes) into your console. This will output the X, Y and Z co-ordinates inside brackets and the angle you are facing. This mod also fixes many other bugs in the source code, such as detpacks blowing up in the wrong place, and forcefields being the wrong height. For the server admin, many server variables have been added to allow control over the gameplay, check them out: g_bombExplodeTime - Sets how long the bomb takes to explode after being placed. (default 5 seconds) g_bombOriginFixed - Sets whether the bomb will float in the air where it spawns, or drop to the floor. (default fixed) g_autoArm - Sets whether players must hold their +use button to arm the bomb, or not. (default auto) g_allItemPlaceHolders - Sets whether all items will show placeholders when taken. (default yes) g_dropHoldables - Allows holdables to drop from killed players instead of vanishing. (default yes) g_dropPowerups - Set to 0 if you do not want powerups to drop from players. (default yes) g_fixDetpackOrigin - Set to 1 to fix the detpack from blowing up in the wrong place. (default yes) g_fixForceFieldHeight - Set to 1 to fix the force field's height. (default yes) g_fixHypo - Set to 1 to stop players being able to teamkill with the hypospray. (default yes) g_bombArmTime - Sets how long players must stand on the enemy base before the bomb arms. (default 1 second) g_bombDisarmTime - Sets how long players must stand on their base before the bomb disarms. (default 1 second) g_bombMass - This controls how heavy the bomb is (and therefore how easy it is to knock it about). (default 65) g_disarmEnemyBase - This setting allows players to disarm the bomb from the enemy's base. (default no) g_music - This allows you to specify a background music track. (default nothing) The zip file includes a cfg with all these settings set to optimal values. Enough said, this is a great mod, so install it on your server now! (speaking of which, the mod is completely server side so clients need not download it to play).

So your aim needs to be goooood because the area damage has been turned down. You start off with a photon weapon and a detpack, all maps will show no other weapon or ammo except photon-related. All falling damage and selfdamage (photon and detpack) and knockback is all turned off by default so you can PJ to your hearts content and fly hiiiiigh! This mod really fits the word [b]CARNAGE[/b]! I had a BLAST playing this mod and honestly am DYING to play it online! Absolutely worth the download if you\'re looking to get that adrenalin going!

the whole mod. Well, it's done with "IN2TAGIB". For those who don't know what IN2TAGIB is: This mod changes your Holomatch into a Sniper arena. If you hit your enemy with your sniper weapon (the Compression Rifle or the I-Mod), he is killed instantly and you get the frag. With version 1.0.0 I include a new type of game: "IN2TAGIB ARCADE". In this mode your sniper weapon has no shot delays. Everytime you hit the button the shot goes off. So prepare for some fast'n'nasty sniper matches! ;-) In Arcade mode your weapons will need new ammo. You can pickup new ammo in the level or watch for dropped ammo from a fragged opponent. Since 1.1.0 IN2TAGIB is unlagged - this means: No more aiming ahead to compensate the ping lag of you and your opponents. Just aim directly and do your way of fragging like you're playing offline with bots or in a LAN. Your sniper weapon has now a knockback effect. You can use it to jump to higher places or in teamplay to push your teammates to speed them up. I included some powerups to the gameplay like the forcefield or the battlesuit. The forcefield has a new soundeffect and tics and flickers on the last five seconds. The battlesuit prevents you from beeing fragged, but you get knockbacked. The elimination gametype is supported (also known as "Last Man Standing"). Even if you don't have the Expansion Pack you can open now a server with this gametype! Also I got some Ideas how to modify the Holomatch to make many of the one player campaign maps available to the regular deathmatch. It's possible to access all areas of the one player campaign map. Locked doors are opened, some lifts are even usable! Forcefields are switched off. And what is mostly neccesary to bring one player maps to online gaming: Different entry spots! And yes: With this modification all players enters a map at a different one! Therefor IN2TAGIB convert NPC bot spots to regular deathmatch entry spots. B-) As a little support a player can use an escape transporter if he got stuck in an area where he cannot reach the other players. By using the command "/escape" via console the transporter is given and can be used. You get now new sounds for your compression rifle, that don't get annoying after a long time played. To improve the ambiente of some maps, I include some ambiente background sounds for maps that are placed on voyager or a borg ship. Door sounds are also replaced: Voyagers automatic doors sounds now authentic and the door sounds of one player maps are replaced. Well, and I don't liked the music used at the scoreboard so I replaced it with much better soundfiles from Elite Force. I included some nice maps from the one player campaign to the map selector menus. These maps will have no bot support, but you can run a server and play these maps with your friends in a LAN or online. If you have the Expansion Pack installed and you have the XP Version of IN2TAGIB, you will get as a little bonus the Garden Relaxation Map from the tour. This map has under IN2TAGIB bot support, so you can play this in single player also! The EF menu system is expanded to allow you to configure the modification to your needs. If you want to open a server in the LAN or public Internet you can now configure your server via the EF LCARS. After that IN2TAGIB is still a server-side modification! Players that have not IN2TAGIB installed can join your server without any problems. To get to the additional configuration screens use the "ADVANCED" button. The LCARS of IN2TAGIB is updated to version 1.23. To find out more about the EF-LCARS-Patch visit www.ef-lcarspatch.de.vu. This will be the final version of this mod. how popular CTF is! I was a bit confused as to how the mod actually worked so what better thing to do but jump into a server and test it out! Having played some great matches with Shafe, and other EVIL and DG clan members, trust me when I say it plays SO much better than I will be attempting to describe below. In Instacube, you start off with two weapons: Compression Rifle and Photon. The Rifle works exactly as in Disintegration, and the Photon works as normal. When you 'kill' an enemy with either weapon you 'freeze' them (they'll stop moving and glow golden). That person must either wait for a teammate to come and thaw them (by standing next to them for about 1 second) or wait for the auto-thaw to take effect (this is a timer based on the number of players in the game, for example, 20 people playing means 20x2=40 seconds to autothaw). This autothaw scalabilty is great for keeping the gameplay from getting too overcrowded and being frozen every few seconds ;) You can also rocket jump with either weapon without taking any self damage! Which really turns out to be fun as you can literally fly around maps without being constrained to the normal paths you would take in normal CTF. The mod is also completely serverside, meaning players do not have to download this to play it: just join a server and play your heart out! Server hosts who wish to run this mod will need to download this file, though. What else do you need to know?? Oh yeah, it's FUN! Almost addictingly fun! My playtest originally planned to be about 10 minutes turned into half an hour. It's a great action packed, fast paced mod that definitely relies much more on your teammates to help you out. [b]Current server playing Instacube:[/b] [EVIL] InstaCube CTF (v1.0) - [b]69.56.180.189:27960[/b] I was very pleased with the way the mod works, my only suggestion is to maybe add a global "auto-thaw" so that players auto-thaw at the same time and thus can re-spawn together (much like the spawning in U2 XMP or in UT2004 Assault, for those who've played it). Though it's not a big deal, the current system works fine :)

closely, you can even see the arrows flying through the map. The only bug I found was when the weapon drops if you die. The bow falls on the ground, half of it goes through the brush which make it appear that it is stuck in the ceiling from a level lower. Weapon number 2 apparently is based on the Pokemon figure Zapdos, it\'s a bird that shoots projectiles. The radar was annoying. It blocks the sight significantly. Perhaps it needs some getting used to however you can turn it off by entering a simple cvar in the console. When a powerup is picked up, the yellow dot on the radar does not disappear. Try as I might, I could not get the new commands to work. The console didn\'t say the commands did not exist but they just refused to activate. The cvars on the contrairy work fine. The server admin has more power than ever before. Admins can have too much power you know. The first thing that struck me when entering the server was the missing textures. There are quite some missing textures on both the weapons and the weapon select menu. Give it a try, you might like this.

You can thaw your frozen teammates by standing next to them for a specified period of time (default is 3 seconds). This will explode their frozen body and allow them to respawn. So unlike the EF elimination game, you can thaw your teammates and bring them back into the round. Simple, right? The main goal is to freeze every member of the other team. small mod changes and adds on a few things to normal MP, all with a Christmas theme! :D First up, there are two new CTF maps, both set in hill top fields covered with snow! Although the fields are square, and have little cover, the mounds and trees provide a decent enough challenge to get to the enemy flag. The two maps are the same, except one is at night and the other during daytime. Also, there are new weapon models, including ones replacing the Compression Phaser with an Ice Rifle, and the Compound Grenade Launcher with a snowball gun that fires snowballs as grenades! Until you get really close to a player, their weapon will be hidden inside a festive box, so you never know what they are holding until its too late! :eek: Perhaps most impressive of additions are the new player models including a snowman, Santa, the grinch, and others, all with bot support and team colours! Even the menus have got a little whiter, with snowflakes falling tumbling down the screen as you set up your match. It does NOT get much better than this. Obviously, a huge amount of work has gone into creating this and the modders should be very proud of themselves. :beer: This is one mod you [i]cannot[/i] miss out on. Download now! Some such as killRad are not so obvious (it looks like it is meant to kill players in a certain radius, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work - perhaps you can. It also adds more voting commands, such as ones to let you turn on/off tripwires for alternate fire on the grenade launcher, and team balancing. Admins can set which votes are allowed of course. It looks like the admin can also disable any specialty of their choice for the specialties game mode. If you're in for a challenge, get the admin to turn on the reverse ctf cvar, which puts the flags in the wrong bases (or spawns your team on the enemy spawn points). It also includes the unlagged code in it, which I am sure you are familiar with. So if you need a new admin mod, go get it now. An annoying thing about the mod is that it broke my clan tag for some reason (so beware if you use visible ^ characters in your name). -Gez-

[/quote] Federation Mod is all that... and more :p I didn't get time to check out ALL the 89 new cvars but I did play around with a couple of them. The mod is very nicely documented in the readme and explains all the new cvars and some additional notes on the changes. Everything that I did check seemed to work perfectly and I'm really impressed with this. The mod adds (and fixes) a lot of cool features that I think will be of interest to regular EF players. You can customize things like respawn times for health and ammo pickups, the detpack, etc. You can replace all the weapons with just one (Phaser Wars for example ;)) or you can go with the little RPG cvars thrown in here (a tricorder which has a radar!). The cvars only seem to change small things (like switching the red and blue flags around }> ) but that's all it takes to make EF more fun! What's more even people who prefer the other EF mods such as Assimilation and Specialties can benefit from the customizations and bug fixes. Hope to see this out on servers soon!!

"[i]Visualize opening up the phone and having your favourite cereal pour out the mouthpiece. This mod makes Elite Force look like it has been barfed up three and a half times.[/i]" Basically, it seems Fraggles has edited some textures in MS Paint and drawn all over them, or at least something like that. Some of the weapon models are now completely red or have random lines drawn all over them. So this modification has the dubious honour of being completely useless, yet somewhat compelling in terms of finding out how much a respected computer game can be twisted into... vomit. Literally. I [b]love[/b] it. :D What was Fraggles' reason for creating such a mod? "[i]I made it because I could.[/i]" I can respect that. Download if you want to experience a truly unique file.
