Colony7 depicts the Klingon invasion of Hetlek station, a Starfleet outpost near the former Neutral Zone. You help Gordon Dufresne, a Starfleet ensign, to survive the onslaught. The 2nd chapter is set five weeks before the events of the 1st. You take control of Illia Ericcson, an agent of an organization whose name is only known to a very small circle. You learn of the Klingon's plan to attack Hetlek station and uncover a terrible secret. In the 3rd chapter the epic storyline of Colony7 comes to a closure. I thought the story was just excellent and the whole idea of releasing chapters rather than the entire mod at once is one of the reasons Colony 7 has been so successful! Filled with action, the third chapter is not bereft of challenge. There are a number of 'puzzles' and such that help keep the player interested in the game. The maps were simply stunning! A lot of detail and depth. Good use of sound, and very well done cinematics! I am still amazed how nicely the previous chapters were merged into the third one and the story switches were very seamless. The third chapter also introduces a new menu system in EF compared to the previous Colony 7 launcher that accompanied the previous chapters. There is no passing up Colony 7, it just is a must have!! I would like to thank the entire team for helping in this project to improve the quaility of Elite Force roleplaying and we believe that we've got that, although we admit that it was a disapointment when we found out the model system could not be done without the source code to the holomatch exe, however it was a bigger disapointment when ID Software delayed the release of the source because some company brought a lience for the Q3 engine in late December 2004. We know there are a few bugs but we've all been really busy so there will be small patches in the up coming months when we get time. In this file we have included the following maps: rpg_posiedon This is the Posiedon B! Check out the tatical console with all it's different alert status. rpg_runabout An interactive runabout map where you can go outside into space, but first go into the room with all the clothes and use them, you should notice a sign saying you have put on an EVA suit - now you can surive outside in space! This map is a techonolgoy test of all of RPG-X's new mapping entities so the .map file has been included inside the pk3 file. rpg_chambers This map is the very first map for RPG-X and is our version of a court room / meeting area. Also included are a ton, and I mean a ton of new player models have been added. These models have had their animations changed around so instead of craching you will now sit and you also will not long "bounce" up and down. These models have the prefix "rpgx_" on them. So, over the last few months, we've gone back over our tracks and thoroughly checked as much as we can, fixing and improving the mod while we were at it. The result of this hard work is RPG-X v2.1. Some of the fixed bugs include: -Teleporters not working on older maps. -Spelling errors in the German translation -Issues with the transporter feature on some maps -Ranksets loading incorrectly -Several character skins loading incorrectly -Improved stability on larger maps Aside from that, we've also added many more features -Rendering support on widescreen monitors -Client-side loading of classes and map info for added network speed -Beam firing modes in the Phaser Rifle and Disruptor. -Added new functionality to door entities -Added several new sets of player skins (Courtesy of Laz Rojas) -Changed some of the UI behaviours -Added a new quit menu. -Added new music tracks -'/me' text emote command Another interesting feature we've worked on was trying to upgrade older roleplaying maps up to the RPG-X2 standard by using a multitude of scripts. This means that it will now soon be possible to have beam locations and scannable panels on some of the older maps like Serenity-B. Overall... this wasn't really a visual upgrade to the mod, more a huge tonne of stability fixes and internal server upgrades. However, now that RPG-X2's flagship map, USS Atlantis has been released, we're sure this will overall create a very appealing visual experience. made to look like Enterprise E with all the new textures. Also most of the sounds have been changed from the old and somewhat boring original to new and fresh sounds. When you first load the game you will immediately notice there is a new loading screen. After that you will end up in the main menu. Scroll through the weapons listing and notice how all weapons are changed to look more realistic. Load one of the maps made by Raven and check it out. Almost all the textures have been changed. I kind of like the way it looks now. You'll have to admit, the grey-ish textures were a little boring to say the least. All the crewmembers have been given a new uniform. Like the ones from the episode "Endgame". Of course the hazard team members haven't been forgotten in this clothing change festivity, they have been given a new uniform like the ones from EF2. Of course when changing textures to a map means all the levelshots are outdates so the author took a few moments and created new levelshots. Also when spawning you normally get the transporter effect. This also has been changed to a new one. I myself preferred the old one better but then again, I have no taste :p . Now this new tricorder model is really cool. It's like the one from EF2 but they're not exactly the same. This sure beats the old one. Take a look at the screenshots and give this baby a download!

Check the new features that will come fully implemented in the version 7, the reflection map of the screen in front of the Hazard quarter. 60% of the textures of the IRez 5 have been redone (Another time) for the lack of canon on them. With a lot of help from the Raven board and my Canon tester, I have made them more canon then ever. I'm currently rewritting the whole shader set of EF, mainly to put the reflection map thing in it. Hope you will like it... Even if it's only 700Ko bigger than the last version.

Atlantic NCC 83256, which has just arrived at the Klingon Outpost Plah'Mak![/i] The starship Atlantic looks good and the mod is very fun to play. A download is definately recommended. Short time later, with some info, it appear to me quite easy for a coder to change the EF HM code to be able to support Q3 map. The Snerd gave a small ammount of time on it, but it never result of something working. He was, and he is still taken by his amazing CooP mod. After, the Lt. Cmdr. Salinga toke it over. Few month, later, here it is! The Q32EF mod is finaly out! Every Q3 and Q3TA map is now working PERFECTLY on this mod. However, the best is to use custom Q3 map with custom texture and model. But, you can use the basic Q3/Q3TA map from ID with a small editing of the Q3 pak0.pk3. For that, get the small instruction text that are on the official Q32EF site. TOS Weapons Mod 2

only 14 MB, this mod takes you back to the original Star Trek nostalgia, the one with which it all began. It offers a total of 12 new weapons. All the weapons are based upon those seen in the original Star Trek television show. New weapon effects have been added to make it more realistic. The first thing you will notice is the stun setting on the phaser. It freezes the player for a couple of seconds, just enough time to get the hell out of there :) Check the readme for a list of the other weapons. More realistic weapons can also be found, Colt .45 and a machinegun. Never noticed them before, guess they must be from one of Kirks many time travel missions. Every original model has been replaced with a new custom model. The detpack has been replaced with a device which emits some kind of radiation. Once getting infected with the radiation, your screen will go blurry and the walk keys have been switched which prevents the player from walking in a straight line :) You'll notice when going through a transporter that the blue effect has been changed with the original gold effect. Another addition is the tricorder which strips the color codes from the players in "realtime", nice! When switching name, the tricorder can't identify the player who changed his name until the person who holds the tricorder switches to another weapon and back again. The Borg are transformed into miniature beings. Very fun to play with miniature models! Apparently a whole scaling system has been placed to define the characters height. Spacestation K7 created more skins which are worthy of being checked out. Download them, invite some friends, have a TOS party and get drunk :P Be sure to check this out. We will probably be seeing this mod on servers!

showing some great promise. The model quality is good, but it still has a long way to go before it becomes the finished product. I didn\'t really care for much of the weaponry aside from the Plasma Pistol (Man, is that thing cool!) I only really liked the sounds on the plasma pistol. The rifle was the same as the Federation Phaser Rifle and the Sub-Machine Gun firing rate sounds similar to a drum roll on a snare. Overall, a very good push toward a new scheme for Elite Force. Unfortunately, the weapons do not change the actual gun ammo behaviour, i.e. all the weapon equivalents shoot the same way as the ones they replace... it\'s a bit disappointing as it would be nice to get a complete mod of the weapons for the full effect, but I suppose this will do. In any case, I\'m still quite happy that quite alot of the weapon stuff has been changed (as mentioned above). Technically, I\'m not so pleased. The textures aren\'t that great (blame shared equally on the textures themselves and the unwrapping on the guns). In game everything looks pretty fuzzy, and there is quite a bit of texture stretching on the sides of the guns. Poly ranges for the weapons range anywhere from 800 to 2000! Now that may seem cool [i]if[/i] those 2000 polies were spent wisely. In this case, they aren\'t. A lot of wastage in polys and generally a lot more optimization required. You may not notice any slowdowns if you have a reasonably new computer, though others might notice FPS drops when a couple of these guns are playing on screen. Without me being nitpicky :D the mod isn\'t all bad and you may want to check this out if real guns is your thing. I realize that this is just a stepping stone in modelling, and for that I don\'t wish to bring down any spirits. My advice would be to just make sure to make the most out of every poly, get rid of ones that aren\'t seen, and definitely practice practice practice with unwrapping multi-object models.

for the longest time, this is a nice change! There was one wierd thing with the floor textures on the bridge; some of them were still grey making it look "choppy." There are also some new screens and displays. Even though it is currently a beta, it is an awesome mod which will give you alot of fun without a doubt. Of course the Borg adapt to your phaser fire so pick your shots carefully. Now it wouldn\'t be Enterprise if you didn\'t have the real phaser and tricorder for you to toy around with. There\'s a little video from the episode in between the maps which will give you an insight on what is going on around you. Some of the doors were a bit small and I had some difficulty trying to get through them but other than that I have no negative remarks. I say, download this unique and fun mod!

Then the best out of them all ..... Vortex Grenades ... hehe what they do is you put them done they last alittle bit longer then before any one close to them it sucks them in then explodes and there is no escape hehehe :D. Tetryon and Photon. The Vidiian weapon is pretty nice, from the looks of it, it resembles the actual weapon pretty nicely. The Hirogen rifle looks a little too flat and needs some more 3d work to it. The new sound changes sound very muted and similar.. though interesting, nonetheless :). The new detpack explosion sound has a lot of static in it which kind of ruins the effect. Star Trek: Freelance - Teaser

Containing an original storyline created especially for this particular release, you play as Peter Callum, a Starfleet Commander, who has just been given his first command. In this teaser, your mission is to save your crew from a Hader General who for some reason, seems to have a grudge on the player. You will battle your way through various locations and areas, ranging from a Klingon Outpost to an assimilated Starfleet vessel. But is everything as it seems? The situation feels a little... unreal... This mod does not contain any of the Freelance RPG elements but is more of a tour of some of the locations, weapons and characters. It includes many new maps, such as a set of alien corridors that are... well, completely alien, various areas of the player's very own Starfleet vessel, a Klingon space station, complete with defenders that will assist you, new phaser models, an RPG-X-style rifle and even one of the most popular weapons from EF2: the Enhanced Compression Rifle. The enemies are a mix of what we have seen before, and some new challenges such as the Hader. Special mention must go to the Borg in this teaser, which are probably the most scary and dangerous we have seen them since the original EF1 single player. The voice work is great (including a cameo by yours truly) and music choices from various sources very much add to the atmosphere of each level. To wrap it all up, this teaser even has a splendid little installer. Very professional. So whats the catch? Well, I found one or two low-quality textures. Um... apart from that... pretty solid all round. I can't actually think of anything to criticise. It ends? But to be fair, the teaser is quite long. Took me half an hour to play through! So you can imagine how much work GriffinEndurance has put into this. The Freelance Teaser is quite possibly one of the best mod releases in recent EF1 history, and if the full version of the mod is even half as full of quality, we are in for a treat. Download. Now. been replaced by a borg one with the appropriate sound accompanying it. Like this isn\'t enough, the loading screen has undergone a facelift aswell. Text and the good ol\' hazard team logo have been replaced by something better and newer. In game, most of the regular weapons have been transformed into Borg weapon with Borg designations. Just like any good weapons mod, the weapons effects have been played with aswell and it hasn\'t gotten worse because of it, on the contrairy, the new sounds and effects are very cool and give just that little bit extra to the Borg feeling. Most of the weapon ammo have been replaced with a new model, so have the hyposprays and I have to admit, the new hyposprays look very stunning. The weapon listing on the main menu can be used to quickly explore the new weapons. Follow the instructions in the readme on how to install this wicked mod.

The holdable medkit has been replaced with some kind of record player, and the regen medkit uses the same texture and produces a rather cool result :D The sounds have been changed too! When you use the holdable medkit a kind of hard to describe sound is played (I don\'t know what to call it, but you\'ll understand what it is when you hear it ;)). At the last few seconds of the regen medkit, instead of that alarm that goes off a heart beat is there! Or, atleast what sounds like a heart beat :p There are a couple other changes too to the text of HM as well as the armor shards. Dark and dramatic? Or would you prefer the lighter tones of a medical ship? Its up to you. You can also walk around an Atlantis-style Starbase Modas. The thing that really makes this stand out, though, are the transporters. There is EVERYTHING here. You can swap between files that change the transporter effect from a classic Original Series style to a Borg effect to a Klingon beam that looks as if its painfully ripping your body apart. For those interested in making videos, theres everything you could ever need here. If you are a player on the other hand, just pick your favourite new transporter effect, your favourite ship re-texture, a colourful space background skybox, any new skins you want, chuck them into your RPG-X 2 folder and away you go! easier in all situations. There are no crosshairs or nametags above players heads when you look at them, so finding your target may prove to be a challenge! You are also given a scope for aiming, activated by the zoom key. You're only allowed four weapons in this mod, two already exist in EF1 (phaser and rifle) but there are also two new additions: Type-3c Compression Rifle (made by Tim, to be released as part of the RPG-X Mod) and the Bajoran Sniper Rifle (featured in the Bajoran Weapons Mod by Laz Rojas). The first two function similar to EF1 (the rifle is a bit different), except that they only fire in alt-fire mode. The two new weapons are quite interesting additions. The 3c Rifle reminded me a bit of the EF2 version except that it can hit multiple targets at once! The Bajoran rifle behaved more like the alt-fire Stasis weapon in EF1 except that it only shoots out one beam. More descriptions of the four weapons can also be found in the readme. I'm personally not a huge sniper fan (my aim is just terrible ;)), but I love disintegration and even though this mod isn't exactly the same thing, it did kinda remind me of that. Definitely give this a go if you're a Dis. fan, or maybe even if you just want to improve your aim ;) A little sidenote though, make sure when you unzip this that you end up with the pk3 file and all in a subdirectory of your Elite Force folder (NOT BaseEF) (i.e. in the folder Elite Force/USM and not Elite Force/Ultimate Sniper Mod/USM) You will need to manually unzip it, otherwise the mod may not run properly.

This version has many welcome changes however, the first being that the Phaser, Phaser Rifle and I-Mod no longer have a gloved hand, and the Munro model now wearing a Voyager uniform too, for when you come across those pesky mirrors. The hazard suit animations have also been imported into the voyager uniform models, so no more Chel standing with his legs stuck in a bench. This version goes beyond the uniforms however, and now includes much improved menu graphics, replacement sounds and new textures throughout the game. The sounds are much more cannon and have a much more "Trek" feel, while textures are not only more "canon" but also have a much higher resolution that really does improve the quality of the game ten fold. Unfortunately Scooter notified me that he might not be able to complete the developement of this, however although there is still work to be done according to the readme this is definately a must-try for everyone! :)

few model and text replacements. The model detail and the texture of the gun were rather well done. The mesh seemed to have a few redundant polys and the uvmap led to some texture streaking. The muzzle flash also could have been reduced in the number of polys (perhaps an alpha-ed plane would have worked better?) I must say though, the detail of the gun does come at a price. The number of polys in the gun itself are equal to those put in an EF player model. The detail does leave the gun looking smooth but during the game I don't think someone would have enough time to notice how smooth it is ;) However, don't let that stop your from downloading this, the gun definitely is worth checking out for the sheer amount of work that went into it and the fact that it still looks good :D [b]New Models:[/b] Yes [b]New Sounds:[/b] Yes [b]New Textures:[/b] Yes

Chrome exaust pipes and flames on its sides\' gives the impression that this gun is something you would not want to be in front of when it went off. #3 obviously means that there where two previous versions. Not sure if DJ will release those as well. The Q-Launcher fires Quantum Torpedoes. Changes the ammo too. I do know for fact that he has been working on this for over a week now. He also plans to release an upgrade later on to change the ammo pickups and some other small stuff. Overall I\'d say this is a pretty intresting mod. I reccomend you download it and give it a try.

The tournament is divided into two separate competitions. The first competition pits starship crews against each other in a series of events, including 1-on-1 deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag. Losing teams are eliminated and winning teams advance up the ladder, with the top three performing teams winning tournament trophies for first, second, and third places. The second competition pits teams representing homeworlds against each other. Compression Rifle Type-3c Compression Rifle Bajoran Sniper Rifle The first one is just the standard compression rifle with a few small changes. Type-3c is the sniper rifle from EF2. It looks just like the EF2 rifle, really detailed. Laz Rojas created the Bajoran sniper rifle. All the weapons have been given cool effects and new sounds. It\'s a bit hard to describe the effects very well, you should really check it out for yourself. There is a little describtion in the readme for each weapon. After you kill someone, their weapon falls on the ground and doesn\'t disappear. After a while half the map was infested with dropped weapons. The weapons don\'t really need to be dropped since you have unlimited ammo. Every item is removed except for the detpack, portable forcefield and the portable transporter. New sound that has been added to the detpack is a nice change although I prefer the old one. Not sure what they are trying to achieve by removing the crosshair. Perhaps it\'s intended to get the people better aiming. In any case, I really disliked the fact that they removed my crosshair just like that. Well, it was not entirely gone, it was sitting in the upper left corner of my screen. The autoexec tries to remove the crosshair but they have put the same command in there 3 times, one is more than enough. Getting rid of the autoexec does not bring your crosshair back. In order to get your crosshair back you should remove the cgame.qvm from the pk3. I kind of expected to see a red scope when zooming in. As for the current zoom, it\'s pretty boring without the red scope. That said, I do believe this is a good mod but with some more work this could be even better! There are some small thing that could be fixed very easily.

Most are pretty small to really notice, which is alright as the weapon tweaks don\'t need drastic changes. Besides the weapons, various pickups are also changed (for example the time limits on some of them). In terms of additions, there\'s actually a new weapon included called the Antimatter Shotgun (from Team Elite 2.0). It replaces the Stasis weapon and follows almost the same weapon fire (it\'s a bit more of a faster, direct shot rather than the slow, spread-out Stasis fire). For the complete rundown on everything the mod changes check out the readme. You may want to give this a try, it\'s not radically different from normal EF1 but the tweaks can improve gameplay a bit. fun on it. The Blue team's goal is to defend the posts, which are located at, and near Blue's spawn point. The red team's goal is to take a bomb, place it at a post, and run like heck ;). You can't difuse bombs, so if Red gets a bomb at one, you will have to defeat all Red's before the bomb explodes to win. You start with a Phaser and Compression rifle. There are two ways to get weapons: The first is to defeat an enemy and take their weapon (Duh), and the second is a Counter Strike port: If you press Esc, Go to Configure, Controls, then Reply, you'll see a "Buy Menu" at the bottom. Assign that to a key, then press it in-game to buy Weapons or Armor. It aint free though: Killing enemies gives you Points, and they are your "Currency" There are some catches too (Good AND Bad...): - Your Armor and Weapons are carried round to round - If you die, you must stay out for the rest of the round and your weapons will be taken away, leaving you with a Phaser and Compression Rifle only. This isn't the full mod, however. The team is planning Hostage and Assassination modes, as well as new maps. They will also release a tutorial on how to build maps that will be compatible with the mod. All in All, this is one of the best EF mods I've ever played. It takes the depth of Counter Strike, the most played Game/Mod on the internet, and ports it to EF. My only complaint would be: "Why didn't someone think of this sooner?!?" :D DOWNLOAD NOW!!!

It does seem like a lot of it was pieced together from other mods. Not a bad job, but I don't think I'll use it. Download and check it out for yourself. release a v1.2 with what's been done so far. This version fixes all the bugs in the previous version, and includes an optional PK3 file to change the character's uniform to Voyager also, so that you aren't wearing a Hazard suit when you look in the mirror or go to third person view. However, if you installation of EF is corrupt, which is very possible considering how easily EF corrupts itself, then it won't work. This mod really pushes EF to the limit, so please don't complain it doesn't work. It may not work for you, but it does work for others.

and [i]Starfleet Tournament[/i] fame has expanded on the official expansion pack's single Captain Proton mission, including some brand new missions complete with new weapons and enemies, a model of Proton's rocket ship and even small moments outside the holodeck on Voyager where you can listen to the likes of Tom Paris and Harry Kim discussing women. But who am I to describe this? Let us hear from the creator: [quote]The Captain Proton Mod is a single-player modification for Raven's Star Trek Voyager Elite Force and the Elite Force Expansion Pack. It is based on the metafictional holonovel "The Adventures of Captain Proton" that was featured on various episodes of Star Trek Voyager, including "Night", "Thirty Days", "Bride of Chaotica", and "Shattered". The mod assumes that after Voyager returned to Earth, Tom Paris wrote various Captain Proton holonovels which were published by Broht & Forrester, the same company which published the EMH's opus "Photons Be Free" in the episode "Author, Author". The Captain Proton Mod includes several episodes that span multiple maps, each of them a separate chapter in the Captain Proton saga. Familiar characters seen on Star Trek Voyager appear, such as Dr. Chaotica, Queen Arachnia, Buster Kincaid, Constance Goodheart, Satan's Robot, Lonzak, and the President of Earth. There are many new characters as well, some friendly, some not so friendly. And there are lots of new models too, including rocket ships and weapons. Additional episodes will be released later on from time to time as add-ons.[/quote] This mod is almost flawless, and in the black & white style of the fictional serialised science fiction epic. The mapping is quite good if a touch repetative, and certainly of Rojas' previous style. Not that this is a bad thing. Please note that you'll require the other three files for you to play this mod, but come on, faithful gamer, this isn't exactly something you can miss out on! ~ Luke20 ("The Doctor").

once the bomb has been placed, the other team has 10 seconds to disarm it before it explodes, killing everything near it (and giving the team that placed it, 1 team point). The bomb carrier is vunerable like a flag carrier since everyone can see who it is (he has a green radiating glow). If the bomb carrier is killed, the bomb will drop where he was. The CTF flags have been replaced by the bomb bases (this is where you must arm the bombs). The physics of the bomb itself are quite fantastic! It can be shot across the map using your weapons, go through transporters, or bounce off jumppads! Even the detpack shockwave affects it! This mod works for any Capture the Flag map and it is completely server sides which means no client downloading is requires in order to play on the server. Mappers wanting to map for this fabulous mod need to include the bomb coordinates in the .arena file for their map. The readme explains how to do this very well. Alternatively, server admins can specify all the origins for the bomb in one bomborigins.cfg (included - with 44 maps already inside). To check what co-ordinates you are at in any map, type "/viewpos" (without quotes) into your console. This will output the X, Y and Z co-ordinates inside brackets and the angle you are facing. This mod also fixes many other bugs in the source code, such as detpacks blowing up in the wrong place, and forcefields being the wrong height. For the server admin, many server variables have been added to allow control over the gameplay, check them out: g_bombExplodeTime - Sets how long the bomb takes to explode after being placed. (default 5 seconds) g_bombOriginFixed - Sets whether the bomb will float in the air where it spawns, or drop to the floor. (default fixed) g_autoArm - Sets whether players must hold their +use button to arm the bomb, or not. (default auto) g_allItemPlaceHolders - Sets whether all items will show placeholders when taken. (default yes) g_dropHoldables - Allows holdables to drop from killed players instead of vanishing. (default yes) g_dropPowerups - Set to 0 if you do not want powerups to drop from players. (default yes) g_fixDetpackOrigin - Set to 1 to fix the detpack from blowing up in the wrong place. (default yes) g_fixForceFieldHeight - Set to 1 to fix the force field's height. (default yes) g_fixHypo - Set to 1 to stop players being able to teamkill with the hypospray. (default yes) g_bombArmTime - Sets how long players must stand on the enemy base before the bomb arms. (default 1 second) g_bombDisarmTime - Sets how long players must stand on their base before the bomb disarms. (default 1 second) g_bombMass - This controls how heavy the bomb is (and therefore how easy it is to knock it about). (default 65) g_disarmEnemyBase - This setting allows players to disarm the bomb from the enemy's base. (default no) g_music - This allows you to specify a background music track. (default nothing) The zip file includes a cfg with all these settings set to optimal values. Enough said, this is a great mod, so install it on your server now! Indicators, projectiles, and other effects, have been changed to ones that suit the weapon best. All weapon icons and ammo icons have been changed appropriatly, so has the ammo. I was surprised to see that they glow in the dark, that is really great! :D Some of the sounds have been replaced with new ones. You have to admit, the sound are getting a bit boring as the years go by. According to the readme the alien crystal powder has been replaced by Starfleet energy. I could go on for ages about the weapon effects, however, the readme and the individual readme's describe it very well. All I am saying is download download download :)

weapons and textures are done in a very cartoon style, which kind of goes with theme. I like the mod for what it was set out to do, it\'s creative and imaginative. But the actual construction of the weapons is a bit of a let down. As with last time, some weapons use a horrendous number of polys. Everything is made from primitives, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but there is a lot of room for refinement. Some more time working with Milkshape would have been better. As it stands, I\'m not sure if you\'d enjoy this. None of the weapons fire is changed (except the grenades), and it may actually slow your game down if you see a number of these weapons on screen at a time. So your aim needs to be goooood because the area damage has been turned down. You start off with a photon weapon and a detpack, all maps will show no other weapon or ammo except photon-related. All falling damage and selfdamage (photon and detpack) and knockback is all turned off by default so you can PJ to your hearts content and fly hiiiiigh! This mod really fits the word [b]CARNAGE[/b]! I had a BLAST playing this mod and honestly am DYING to play it online! Absolutely worth the download if you\'re looking to get that adrenalin going!

mod is 100% server side only, meaning no downloading for the clients. This mod also doesn't offer any 'clan advertisements' or annoying credit lines at game start or when a player enters the game, it runs transparently. If left at the default settings, the mod will operate as EF Normally does (excluding a few fixes), and will only offer extended admin capabilities. The purpose of this version is mainly to address a bug fix, while [b]Shafe[/b] works on v2. There are some new features included as well, such as: Disable/Enable any given class in specialties mode. The ability to enable rifle jumping in disintegration mode. Chat Filtering: Block curse words or other words of your choosing on your game server. Bad Names List: automatically kick players who go under certain names. The last two features bare more information, [b]consider this a fair warning of language which may offend some[/b]; Once downloaded and extracted, you will notice a [i]bad word list[/i] txt document (badwords.txt), this doc contains...well...a list of popular bad words, which is used in the filtering/block feature. More information can be found in the readme below (although, the readme found in the download is a complete readme), along with installation instructions.

Sounds weird, and it kinda is, but doesn\'t look as bad as it may sound! And last, new sounds! The old IMod sound can be heard in the background somewhere, but the sounds are pretty interesting. A very muted sort of sound. Overall, an interesting mod. It definitely adds a whole new look to the IMod. It\'s worth a check out, though I\'m not sure if it\'s for keeps... The Venorcis Project

original version (released a few days ago on this site) was never fully completed, and released as an "as-is" mod, thus there were several issues. This new edition fixes many of those. The Venorcis Project makes a lot of changes to both the content of the game, and how it is played. Most notably, there are several new weapons, the Munro player model is replaced with an Imperial Human looking awfully like Kaialin, the first-person view is now from eye-level rather than "crotchlevel", a few new animations and glass explosions, the game code itself has been improved to increase FPS and make the physics more realistic - even the TED is changed to show your health by it's colour, rather than a special bar. With the new modern-day weapons, you can fire headshots, as well blowing enemy body parts around, and there is also a rather nasty blood effect to go with this. Some weapons can also be re-loaded, such as the scavenger rifle & shotgun, and there is even a close-range knife for instant kill stabbing. I feel like a chav already. This version of Lammeren's mod has several improvements on the last, such as fixed Photon Burst ammo, working subtitles and a better sniper rifle zoom. Full mod details are in the readme. As a player, I have mixed feelings concerning this mod. Whilst the overt gore and doesn't seem to suit EF, and the modern-day weapons are very much out of place, a massive amount of code-work and game alteration has gone into this project to make it more [i]real[/i], so huge kudos must go to it's developer. Whatever you may think about this, its certainly an experience not to be missed, and you can easily play through single player in a new way with the Venorcis Project. ~ Luke20 (The Tenth Doctor).

It doesn't work, it is as simple as that. The mere sembelence of a conversation appears to be a mystery to the NPCs. They either speak their normal stock responses or one of... well... a single line from an Imperial Human about being bored. I found, when reviewing, that Munro usually starts off his social coversations with a very jarring "Do I?". Of course, with a considerable amount of fine tuning, this could actually work well - getting the timing right, and finding some more imaginative lines for the characters to speak, but I can't say that I'm terribly impressed at this stage, especially as the PK3 file itself merely contains MP3 files found in the game anyway. ~ Luke20 ("The Doctor").

Assimilated Voyager Bridge

other levels are changed. This is a skillfully textured map which turns the sleakly pristine Voyager bridge into a meancing metallic assimilated borg bridge. Recently appearing in yesterday's PotD this is an impressive assimilated version of the stock map from the original game. Every texture matches up correctly to its corresponding former-Federation part, especially the borg interface panels over the LCARS and the overhead lighting shinning down onto the command platform. The only thing I could say was a bit of a let down is the doors, even though in First Contact doors were largely untouched by borg nodes it would have looked better to have some sort of borg parts on the doors leading to the turolift. The Green ambient lighting is a nice touch also but the overall lighting is a tad too bright, a darker set of lights would have suited this perfectly. However having said that, this map is still definitely worth checking out. It includes the .map file so you can open it up and modify it yourself. ;) - [b]IKS[/b]

the whole mod. Well, it's done with "IN2TAGIB". For those who don't know what IN2TAGIB is: This mod changes your Holomatch into a Sniper arena. If you hit your enemy with your sniper weapon (the Compression Rifle or the I-Mod), he is killed instantly and you get the frag. With version 1.0.0 I include a new type of game: "IN2TAGIB ARCADE". In this mode your sniper weapon has no shot delays. Everytime you hit the button the shot goes off. So prepare for some fast'n'nasty sniper matches! ;-) In Arcade mode your weapons will need new ammo. You can pickup new ammo in the level or watch for dropped ammo from a fragged opponent. Since 1.1.0 IN2TAGIB is unlagged - this means: No more aiming ahead to compensate the ping lag of you and your opponents. Just aim directly and do your way of fragging like you're playing offline with bots or in a LAN. Your sniper weapon has now a knockback effect. You can use it to jump to higher places or in teamplay to push your teammates to speed them up. I included some powerups to the gameplay like the forcefield or the battlesuit. The forcefield has a new soundeffect and tics and flickers on the last five seconds. The battlesuit prevents you from beeing fragged, but you get knockbacked. The elimination gametype is supported (also known as "Last Man Standing"). Even if you don't have the Expansion Pack you can open now a server with this gametype! Also I got some Ideas how to modify the Holomatch to make many of the one player campaign maps available to the regular deathmatch. It's possible to access all areas of the one player campaign map. Locked doors are opened, some lifts are even usable! Forcefields are switched off. And what is mostly neccesary to bring one player maps to online gaming: Different entry spots! how popular CTF is! I was a bit confused as to how the mod actually worked so what better thing to do but jump into a server and test it out! Having played some great matches with Shafe, and other EVIL and DG clan members, trust me when I say it plays SO much better than I will be attempting to describe below. In Instacube, you start off with two weapons: Compression Rifle and Photon. The Rifle works exactly as in Disintegration, and the Photon works as normal. When you 'kill' an enemy with either weapon you 'freeze' them (they'll stop moving and glow golden). That person must either wait for a teammate to come and thaw them (by standing next to them for about 1 second) or wait for the auto-thaw to take effect (this is a timer based on the number of players in the game, for example, 20 people playing means 20x2=40 seconds to autothaw). This autothaw scalabilty is great for keeping the gameplay from getting too overcrowded and being frozen every few seconds ;) You can also rocket jump with either weapon without taking any self damage! Which really turns out to be fun as you can literally fly around maps without being constrained to the normal paths you would take in normal CTF. The mod is also completely serverside, meaning players do not have to download this to play it: just join a server and play your heart out! Server hosts who wish to run this mod will need to download this file, though. What else do you need to know?? Oh yeah, it's FUN! Almost addictingly fun! My playtest originally planned to be about 10 minutes turned into half an hour. It's a great action packed, fast paced mod that definitely relies much more on your teammates to help you out. [b]Current server playing Instacube:[/b] [EVIL] InstaCube CTF (v1.0) - [b]69.56.180.189:27960[/b] I was very pleased with the way the mod works, my only suggestion is to maybe add a global "auto-thaw" so that players auto-thaw at the same time and thus can re-spawn together (much like the spawning in U2 XMP or in UT2004 Assault, for those who've played it). Though it's not a big deal, the current system works fine :)

reprogram the whole mod. Well, it's done with "IN2TAGIB". For those who don't know what IN2TAGIB is: This mod changes your Holomatch into a Sniper arena. If you hit your enemy with your sniper weapon (the Compression Rifle or the I-Mod), he is killed instantly and you get the frag. With version 1.0.0 I include a new type of game: "IN2TAGIB ARCADE". In this mode your sniper weapon has no shot delays. Everytime you hit the button the shot goes off. So prepare for some fast'n'nasty sniper matches! ;-) In Arcade mode your weapons will need new ammo. You can pickup new ammo in the level or watch for dropped ammo from a fragged opponent. Since 1.1.0 IN2TAGIB is unlagged - this means: No more aiming ahead to compensate the ping lag of you and your opponents. Just aim directly and do your way of fragging like you're playing offline with bots or in a LAN. Your sniper weapon has now a knockback effect. You can use it to jump to higher places or in teamplay to push your teammates to speed them up. I included some powerups to the gameplay like the forcefield or the battlesuit. The forcefield has a new soundeffect and tics and flickers on the last five seconds. The battlesuit prevents you from beeing fragged, but you get knockbacked. The elimination gametype is supported (also known as "Last Man Standing"). Even if you don't have the Expansion Pack you can open now a server with this gametype! Also I got some Ideas how to modify the Holomatch to make many of the one player campaign maps available to the regular deathmatch. It's possible to access all areas of the one player campaign map. Locked doors are opened, some lifts are even usable! Forcefields are switched off. And what is mostly neccesary to bring one player maps to online gaming: Different entry spots! closely, you can even see the arrows flying through the map. The only bug I found was when the weapon drops if you die. The bow falls on the ground, half of it goes through the brush which make it appear that it is stuck in the ceiling from a level lower. Weapon number 2 apparently is based on the Pokemon figure Zapdos, it\'s a bird that shoots projectiles. The radar was annoying. It blocks the sight significantly. Perhaps it needs some getting used to however you can turn it off by entering a simple cvar in the console. When a powerup is picked up, the yellow dot on the radar does not disappear. Try as I might, I could not get the new commands to work. The console didn\'t say the commands did not exist but they just refused to activate. The cvars on the contrairy work fine. The server admin has more power than ever before. Admins can have too much power you know. The first thing that struck me when entering the server was the missing textures. There are quite some missing textures on both the weapons and the weapon select menu. Give it a try, you might like this.

one team are frozen, the other team gets a capture point and a new round starts. The first team to reach the capturelimit wins. You can thaw your frozen teammates by standing next to them for a specified period of time (default is 3 seconds). This will explode their frozen body and allow them to respawn. So unlike the EF elimination game, you can thaw your teammates and bring them back into the round. Simple, right? The main goal is to freeze every member of the other team. small mod changes and adds on a few things to normal MP, all with a Christmas theme! :D First up, there are two new CTF maps, both set in hill top fields covered with snow! Although the fields are square, and have little cover, the mounds and trees provide a decent enough challenge to get to the enemy flag. The two maps are the same, except one is at night and the other during daytime. Also, there are new weapon models, including ones replacing the Compression Phaser with an Ice Rifle, and the Compound Grenade Launcher with a snowball gun that fires snowballs as grenades! Until you get really close to a player, their weapon will be hidden inside a festive box, so you never know what they are holding until its too late! :eek: Perhaps most impressive of additions are the new player models including a snowman, Santa, the grinch, and others, all with bot support and team colours! Even the menus have got a little whiter, with snowflakes falling tumbling down the screen as you set up your match. It does NOT get much better than this. Obviously, a huge amount of work has gone into creating this and the modders should be very proud of themselves. :beer: This is one mod you [i]cannot[/i] miss out on. Download now! You can also gain a bonus point for a headshot if the server cvar allows this. The next comes in the form of misadventure (space, lava, slime - you name it). With the mod, if you knock someone off the map, and they die, then you gain the points, instead of them losing one. This is similar to games such as Jedi Knight. The coolest part is an option to kamikaze (make yourself blow up like a detpack) - be warned, this removes 10 points from your score! To use this, bind kamikaze to a key or type /kamikazi in the console. The death messages have also been changed from the usual ELIMINATED, CREDIT, METHOD style to a description of the death (7of9 boiled Janeway alive, Kim sniped 2of12 [Imod] HEADSHOT!). I personally prefer the old ones, but maybe I'm just boring :). Luckily for me this can be switched back and forth with a cvar, just like everything else. It is a nice little mod and I hope to see it up on quite a few servers asap, as it should prove to make EF multiplayer a little more interesting. Go download it now! Some such as killRad are not so obvious (it looks like it is meant to kill players in a certain radius, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work - perhaps you can. It also adds more voting commands, such as ones to let you turn on/off tripwires for alternate fire on the grenade launcher, and team balancing. Admins can set which votes are allowed of course. It looks like the admin can also disable any specialty of their choice for the specialties game mode. If you're in for a challenge, get the admin to turn on the reverse ctf cvar, which puts the flags in the wrong bases (or spawns your team on the enemy spawn points). It also includes the unlagged code in it, which I am sure you are familiar with. So if you need a new admin mod, go get it now. An annoying thing about the mod is that it broke my clan tag for some reason (so beware if you use visible ^ characters in your name). -Gez-

The detpack is also a little christmas gift now :D The weapons look very 'cartoony' not sure if that's intentional, but it kinda works :) The weapons seem to be very imaginative in content! My beef lies in the actual construction of the weapons. The poly distribution and usage is not all that great. The new photon, for example, uses around 3000 polys! The textures are pretty big, too (800x600) which is much, much larger than it needs to be. I like this mod for it's creativity, and I really would like to see how it turns out! [/quote] Federation Mod is all that... and more :p I didn't get time to check out ALL the 89 new cvars but I did play around with a couple of them. The mod is very nicely documented in the readme and explains all the new cvars and some additional notes on the changes. Everything that I did check seemed to work perfectly and I'm really impressed with this. The mod adds (and fixes) a lot of cool features that I think will be of interest to regular EF players. You can customize things like respawn times for health and ammo pickups, the detpack, etc. You can replace all the weapons with just one (Phaser Wars for example ;)) or you can go with the little RPG cvars thrown in here (a tricorder which has a radar!). The cvars only seem to change small things (like switching the red and blue flags around }> ) but that's all it takes to make EF more fun! What's more even people who prefer the other EF mods such as Assimilation and Specialties can benefit from the customizations and bug fixes. Hope to see this out on servers soon!!

interestingly as [b]The HURRRRRR Mod[/b]. :rolleyes: It changes some of the menu elements and game/weapon textures with the theme being as follows... "[i]Visualize opening up the phone and having your favourite cereal pour out the mouthpiece. This mod makes Elite Force look like it has been barfed up three and a half times.[/i]" Basically, it seems Fraggles has edited some textures in MS Paint and drawn all over them, or at least something like that. Some of the weapon models are now completely red or have random lines drawn all over them. So this modification has the dubious honour of being completely useless, yet somewhat compelling in terms of finding out how much a respected computer game can be twisted into... vomit. Literally. I [b]love[/b] it. :D What was Fraggles' reason for creating such a mod? "[i]I made it because I could.[/i]" I can respect that. Download if you want to experience a truly unique file. things. All it does is \"SHUT-UP !!!\" the annoying Team Hit.wav sound. A \" z \" file that will overide the default sound \"Team Hit\" when fired upon by team mate. Usefull to listen to bots talk whilst killing them in team play. :-) This would really only affect games with friendly fire on. But anyway, if the sound bugs you so much, you need this file :D
