Classic DOOM Shotgun

significantly, and the pellet spread is reduced from a 22(!) degree cone to a 7 degree cone. To help keep the weapon balanced, the number of pellets the shotgun fires is reduced to 7 from 13, and the reload time is doubled (one shell is loaded per reload animation instead of two). Zombies can readily be killed in one good hit, or 2-3 average hits (depending on zombie type), while it usually takes 2-3 solid body hits to take down an imp, though a good headshot will take them down in one. The shotgun zombies also had their shotguns tweaked to act more like yours in terms of spread (damage is unchanged). (Interestingly, their shotguns already fired 7 pellets in a 5 degree cone. They now fire them in a 7 degree cone.)

Flamethrower Addition

high end video card, otherwise your FPS will decrease to an unplayable level when you fire the flamethrower (less than 5 FPS). But I believe that will be fixed or improved in newer versions. Another problem that comes to mind is the sound when you hit an enemy with the flames. It's very, very loud and distorted. I believe that will be fixed too. After all, this isn't a final version yet. :) One positive thing about this mod, is the flames. I was really impressed about the quality of the flame effects. Maybe that's one of the reasons why the FPS gets so low. All taken into account, this is a good mod (if you have a good videocard) and definitely one to keep an eye out for new versions. Just be sure to follow the detailed installation instructions provided with the mod. Thumbs up!

I am completely open for suggestions from the community when making this mod. I realise that there are many perceptions of the word \"Realism\" And I plan on making all futur versions based on what the community has suggested and asked for... Chaingun Fix

changed from 60 shots to 300. Damage has been cut to one-fifth. Barrel acceleration and deacceleration raised slightly. 2 shots come out for each point of ammo. Spread (firing cone) raised from 5 to 14. And some other little fixesand tweaks (probably some wierd things I edited just to test out what they did). Also, this should be a bit more balanced with other weapons than the regular chaingun. Although the clip size is much, much bigger, the decreased accuracy and damage make up for it. Installation: Simple enough, all you do is copy the \"pak005.pk4\" file into the \"base\" folder of your Doom 3 directory, by default C:\\Program Files\\Doom 3\\base. If you have another file of the same name there, just rename it \"pak006.pk4\". Notes: If you decide to put this in a mod pack or part of a bigger modification, I have no objection. Just make sure everything is in working order before you release it (I haven\'t taken much time to crash test it).

New sound effects have been enabled giving the gun a more vicious sound. Unpack, copy the pak005.pk4 to your /base directory, and run Doom3. Note that previously saved games will be started at the beginning of the level they were saved in after adding this mod. To uninstall this mod just delete the pak005.pk4. If you already have a pak005.pk4,just rename it to pak006.pk4 or higher.

Deagle (going from 14 damage to 40) while at the same type reducing the clip count from 12 to 7 - something I admire the author for doing to make it less of a 'cheat' weapon as he calls it. Reload time does play a part in tactics and so this little change helps immensly. Also included are new sounds which seem a bit louder and crisp. I think they work well and although the gun looks the same it sounds different; a bit of imagination will let you believe it is a Deagle if nothing else :) [i]Reviewed by: WadeV1589[/i]

Project Brian V014). The idea is to add little enhancements that basically should've been in the game to begin with but still keep the Doom3 experience that ID intended. Both mods that I used gave permission in their respective notes files that their content can be used as long as they are credited. All changes are credited to the original mod they came from. Also see my notes at the end of the readme. -------------- Changes: -------------- -Increased dynamic lighting for muzzleflashes for all weapons. (Lights up about 10 ft.) (Project Brian) [i]Shotgun:[/i] -Increased the kickback of the shotgun by 5x. The enemies now fly back about 10ft when killed with it. (Project Brian) -Increased the shotgun damage slightly. (Project Brian) -Shotgun loads only one shell at a time as per the reload animation instead of seeing one shell loaded but having 2-at-a-time appear in the gun. Shotgun basically takes twice as long to reload. Done for realism. (Alice) [i]Machinegun:[/i] -Added a small light on the gun. Cannot be turned off. I felt that a futuristic assault rifle would come with some kind of tactical light so I took this directly out of the DuctTape mod. The light has a small beam so it definitely does not replace the flashlight. It just helps you keep track of what you are shooting at. asked for more so now the pistol, assault rifle, and chaingun now shoot explosive rounds thanks to the new plasma storage capabilities. most the weapons have flashlights now too, and the shotgun shoots more like a full size combat shotgun now. plus i added a new toy that almost unbalances the game but it sure is fun *cough* magnetic accelerator cannon. I did balance this mod for some of the harder monsters but you dont waste them to easily just play on marine or nightmare then they are best ;-Þ and no power puff girls, DRACO!

Shotgun: somewhat stronger, more projectiles, spread decreased, rate of fire increased, it now holds 10 shells instead of 8, the reloading is faster and a flashlight attached to it as well, but i did not make it to strong it is balanced out perfectly. Machinegun: stronger, rate of fire increased, it no longer shoots in short bursts, but the clip was decreased to 30 shots instead of 60, i made it so the longer you hold down the trigger the worse the accurcy gets but it doesn\'t get real bad the spread on it was 2 normaly but i changed it to 3 but if you hold the trigger down longer than 3 secs it goes to 4. Chaingun: a little stronger VERY LITTLE but the Rate Of Fire was increased, it FIRES EXTREMLY FAST, it\'s just a little less accurate than before. Handgrenades: it doesn\'t bounce around every where when you throw it, it bounces once or twice and thats it, and the explosion radius is a little bigger, and the damage was increased a little. Plasmagun: No Changes yet Rocketlauncher: damage increased a little and explosion radius a little bigger. BFG: No Changes Yet Chainsaw: No Changes Yet SoulCube: NONE

My average framerates are normally in the 60's and this baby drags it down to the single digits at times. But dont be discouraged. Almost all the guns now give out a flashlight beam that varies in size to allow you to see...without there being any visible source of light of any of the guns - this puts me off big style, I would expect a good flashlight mod to actually have a source of light on the guns! Golden Gun

includes a unique tiger-stripe grip (inspired by one of the best FPS games created for the N64, \"Perfect Dark\"). The texture is a tad crude, but I think it is very high-quality (considering I used bitmaps to edit the texture). This IS also a Golden Gun, so I also included a new def and script for this mod - I amplified the weapon\'s power to 5X the original amount, but reduced the clip size by half (so as not to make this a super-weapon per se). I also reduced the firing rate to even out the stakes, and it\'s accuracy is less-than-perfect (a downside to the enhanced firepower). Anyway, as with my previous skin, this skin can be used by anyone who wants to use it in their mods, as long as you give me credit for it (to Faiakes: I\'ll give you exclusive rights to use this in your mods - if you need another skin, you know who to turn to). This is a very simple, yet very visually stunning skin, and I hope to make more just like it. And I also hope you guys like it too. Happy DOOMing!

monster? well now you can since the grenades have been transformed into Rocketnades. just pop the top and let it loose to see it shot across the screen or splatter monster pieces everywhere. Some other changes that were made were to the gib system because lets face it outside of berserk mode your fists will not cremate a guy and there is no way a pistol or machine gun will gib something too. The bigger guns of the game such as the Chain gun, rocket launcher and BFG 9000 still gib just because, well the would normally. This mod was pretty much made to break the game to where its really simple and easy to beat but really the only reason it is like that is because this is my first mod and I didnt really have the time to really make everything stand up to it like my next mods will. Let me thank Glen Murphy for the use of his Duct tape mod so that the Shot gun and Machine gun have flash lights on them since i couldn't add them to the gun's myself. Well I hope you all like the mod and hopefully get a few cheap giggles out of the rocketnades spewing monster pieces everywhere, and i'm looking forward to what all of you have to say, be it negative or good.

the next shipment has arrived. What makes the flare gun such a High-Priority is that each round contains a special chip that transmits low frequency distress signals when activated via firing. The transmission can then be received though an orbiting comsat and broadcasted back to Marcity Communications or Earth if the transmission isn\'t canceled after the designated amount of time. Due to power surges and glitches in the network, reprogramming of the satellites would take some time without the problem of sending a corrupt programming transmission. Someone in maintenance might think of something. Other than that, the program has a go. I wanted to try something new and thought a flare gun would be cool to have during the game. What made me want to try and make one was that I never found a flare gun mod, but instead only flare grenades. Some of the problems i ran into was converting the program for the flare grenades into an pistol projectle to make it light up a room. In the end this mod turned out better than i expected, especially since this is my first mod. ------- Tips: ------- - The flare gun isn\'t a good close range weapon because of the smoke particles from the detonation - Remember to aim high so the flare hits the intended target. - Flares last 30 seconds - Multiple flares eats up FPS ... Fast

As I said before, don\'t stand close to any monsters or you\'ll kill yourself in the process. The damage this gun causes is enough to kill all of the smaller enemies (such as ZSecs, Imps, Commandoes, and Pinkies) in one shot, whether you hit them directly or not. Bigger monsters (such as Hell Knights and Mancubuses) usually go down in two or three hits. I should mention that the knockback and push factors in the Def file have been increased drastically (they are now at 20000 for both the direct and splash damage entityDefs). Enemies should go flying across the entire room now. I also downsized the clip from 50 to 25 and decreased the fire rate to half its original to balance gameplay (although there really is no point in that since this weapon is still very powerful no matter what you do).

Punishment Grenades

the boys at ID software just didn't completely test their equipment.[/i] He was doing some research, and found The Advanced Weapons MoD done by Jonathan "Toaster" Courney. This developer liked the grenades that he used. The grenades are basically an on-contact explosive that is also trip activated, kind of like using proxy mines. He also decided to load the rocketlauncher with Napalm rockets, exploding into a fireball. Humm..... Then the idea hit him... NAPALM TRIP ACTIVATED GRENADES! stylezzzjasonxxx was playing around with photoshop, and completely re-textured the grenades. Now they are black-metallic, with a red band (green and yellow stock? eeewww), and a row of Punisher skulls around them. Now they look like a fun explosive device! The next step was to figure out how to blend together Jonathan "Toaster" Courney's idea of flaming rockets and tripmines. The process didn't take long to do, so i played around with the grenades untill I found the perfect balance between fire and explosion. The fire doesn't do any HUGE damage, but it is great to watch an unsuspecting zombie trample across the mine and get engulfed in flames. The very last thing i did was add an ambient red glow to the grenades. When activated, the grenades have rows of blinking red lights, and i thought they should emit some sort of glow. if anything, it creates an ambient light in dark areas, usefull for spotting things in the dark....just be careful you aren't too close when your grenade explodes. see screenshots for my example of lighting.

The skins were provided by [file="31191"]Xio's skin mod.[/file] - The plasmagun is like the plasma shotgun mod but i never got the scripts from there, i did them on my own. - The BFG-9000 now shoots 2 projectiles but it does far less damage than it used to, but it should equal out. i did try and make them spin in a circle when you charge them up and then they fuse together and make one huge red explosion. I don't know if it will work for you guys (i am hoping it will) but it seemed to work fine for me. - The grenades now split into 3 of them when they hit the ground. Keep in mind that this is still a test package so the final release will be a lot better.

weapons are your best friends in this mod you will not survive without them. I take that back you could but only with god on i feel like i gave you enough health which is 800 and your armor is 725 or 750. If you are not careful and have enough ammo your basically screwed. In 3.0 i will hopefully have new skins for the enemies and the player but i don't know what to get for the player and that's what i need you people for is to messege me and tell me what skins you guys want and i will try to make the doom marine have a different skin on every level so that it's not fair to the others that the skin they picked won't get to be his skin. I havn't had a chance to test this mod sinse my dad uninstalled doom 3 so it's been hard to make it but i think it will be a good mod and I hope all of you will like it too. I think these textures are quite good - of, course they are a tad crude, but I'm not into to detail a whole lot. As long as they can show up in the game properly, that's the main thing. They didn't even take long to make - perhaps a good 20 minutes or so. Feel free to use this in whatever your making, as long as you give me a bit of credit. I also included some new firing and pump sounds to give it a bit of an attitude - I used the pump sounds from the AwesomeSauce mod by eXim Works; the firing sound I made from scratch using my expert mixing skills. -R. time to beat some zombies down. It includes both first and third person models. The third person animations are the same as the flash light, the first person are completely new. The weapon as been added on the second Mars City level in the Marine HQ weapon storage, outside of the code locked weapon room. There is also a new PDA near the weapon explaining how this signal arrived on Mars. The mod doesn't overwrite any of the standard weapons. NOTE: This is intended to be a silly mod.

gun with an actual barrel and gave it 10 gauge 00 shells and I made the guns a little better to use in a firefight. I changed the speed on the rotation of the chaingun and updated the clip size to 80 for a bit more realism. I also changed the machinegun damage and made it have a clip size of a real p90, changed gibbing so bullets don't gib, including fists of fury, and the maglite of chaos... I made the chainsaw revs faster, made the imps jump faster for more effect and it should scare the piss out of ya'.
