Day of Defeat: Source
change to the defualt sounds.
Undoubtedly the most professional extraction of sounds from Saving Private Ryan ever. Crisp, sharp and retains almost all the quality from the film. Full credit to Namphibian and Alex for this excellent work. (permission has been given for this conversion) Original soundwork by Namphibian and Alex Dod:s conversion by Kiff 14 Garand variations 3 BAR variations 2 MP40 2 MP44 2 MG42 2 32 CAL 6 Thomspons + MORE!! great.. 2 of the BIA sounds i did not use, mg42, and the garand. The mg42 sounded great in my opinion, so no use in replacing it. And the m1 i also did not replace. Along with the weapons sounds in this pack, i replaced the sounds for when the player is wading through water. All of the sounds have their own distant sounds, so it all flows together well. Please try it out in game, and dont hesitate to let me know how it all sounds.

Replace your dod folder with the one in the zip. That should install it correctly. Nothing more, nothing less.
and other sounds i could find). I removed the weapon sounds for the weapons which were removed and added a new sound for the mauser c.96 model 712 \"schnellfeur\" -fast firing- (7.63 mauser), just so everyone knows what it is. :)
Brothers) [*] Kar98 Scoped (Saving Private Ryan.
There is a copy of the regular Kar98 sound if you wish for the sound to be the same, seeing as they both are the same weapon. I initially gave it a different sound, seeing as it is the spirit with all other WWII games.)
[*] M1 Carbine (Band of Brothers) [*] M1 Garand (Band of Brothers) [*] MG42 (Band of Brothers) [*] MP40 (Band of Brothers) [*] P38 (Saving Private Ryan) [*] Springfield (Saving Private Ryan) [*] STG44 (DoD Luger sound. There was an episode of MAIL CALL where R. Lee Ermey tested an STG44 downrange. Surprisingly, it sounded exactly like the Luger from DoD.) [*] Thompson (Saving Private Ryan)
Unconventional and unorthodox, surely, but good if you\'re looking for something different.
and DoD will revert back the default songs in the GCF file.
edited the original song alot (besides the obvious shortening) and mixed it together so it sounds great with a nice fade out at the end! Anyways enjoy the new Victory songs!
explosions are amazing. If you love different sounds for your DoDS give this a download. Great work.
aint too particular about you guys using these sounds for your own sound pack, as that is what i did with most of these ^^ i took them off some existing dod soundpacks, cs:source soundpacks, jointops soundpacks yadayadayada, but i did edit some of them, so please dont forget to credit me ^^
altogether: - 63 wav files in the "weapons" folder - a custom "game_sounds_weapons.txt" in the "scripts" folder - this readme file More precisely, it features the realistic fire sounds of these weapons taken from authentic material. Also, the distant sounds of the weapons which can be heard in game whenever other players fire their guns at a far distance to the player are included, too.
Changed all weapon volume settings. [*] Fixed the carbine sound. [*] Fixed rocket sounds. [*] Enhanced the grenade and mortar sounds. [*] Added new bullet impact sounds and adjusted the volume for a better effect. [*] Added new bullet impact flesh sounds. - Large fire fights are so intense you will feel like your right there..

funny when you win. Along with "Make your time" when the enemy soldiers try to run and you get to chase them down! Both Victory songs are the same but I shortened the original Base song (obviously) and I think you'll like it!
turned out great for the most part, most of the sounds I had to edit a least a little. A few I couldn\'t use as of now. I am still testing this, so I am turning it over to all you DoD Source Fans For all your help, and opinions. So I can make the best soundpack out there. But I need your feedback, please email me with any and all comments Prius109@hotmail.com. Once I get your feedback I will continue with a complete soundpack, replacing any and all sounds worth replacing.
from 'Medal of honor: Pacific Assault' because these weapons are not available in 'Airborne. Put the "sound" folder in : "steamapps*username*day of defeat source*dod" JumboTamagotchi says have fun!
Crusade); US sound is a clip from Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
it in good health
file is not responsible for harming your own welfare of anyone elses when using these sounds. Use them at your own risk.
perhaps you\'ll like them.
I just renamed and put the files in the right place in the DoD:s files. The sounds I have taken from it are the weapon sounds (only the ones that can work in DoD so not all of the weapon sounds), menu select sounds, player voices (the German sound is a separate file because they are not as good and are in a monotone voice), damage sounds, and bullet impact sounds.
they would fit perfectly just give them a try you will see to install this sounds, unpack "MG42 Cal30 Sounds.zip" and the put the "dod" folder in your day of defeat folder "steam/steamapps/*yourname*/dayofdefeat/" if windows asks you to overwrite something click yes if you did everything correctly and you can now start day of defeat source and have fun with ur new Sounds -greetz glouf
and DoD will revert back the default songs in the GCF file.
