Note: Due to the size of such a detailed map there might be some lags when playing with a low-end-PC. The map was tested in some 2vs2 with minimal lags (AMD2500, 1GB Ram, Radeon 9800Pro, highest gamedetails, high resolution). This will not effect online play in any way. It just looks nicer to have to correct minimap file. I'm really sorry this happened. heavily defensible position, with cover along the edges of it for defensive purposes. That being as it is, the map is best played in Take and Hold. Geographically, the map has the 2 large team forts either side, an impassable river through the middle, and three bridges with which to cross the river. Mountains and burned down trees dot the landscape, and there are 5 critical objectives, meaning you and your teammate have to take at least 3 and hold them for 7 minutes in order to win. Story behind the map is that it\'s an old Space Marine training camp which has become a warzone blah blah blah noone wants to hear this.

Bases 2 and 3 also have a point that jump troops can enter through to access a narrow path across the river. 4 critical points, 2 relics, 2 slag deposits, 28 requisistion points. The map size is 512. The narrow paths can be difficult to navigate and will require planning for troop distribution. In a few points troops can shoot through mountains, but it is not detrimental to the map.

keep the upper hand. There are 2 mainentrances into the city. One is reachable over 3 bridges every bridge a good chokepoint for defenses. The otherone can be reached through the canyon of the frozen river. Difficult to get through as it is negative cover. There is too a third entrance, i leave it to you to find it. The map is difficult to play, forces teamplay and offers numerous strategic possibilites if you are willing to try them out.

Abandoned City

is located in the center of the map too. Cover appears along the tree line and in the central objective area. The set up allows for many possibilities. The collection of strategic points and relics in the corners give you plenty of room to build up your base and make defending easier. The large central area has very few objectives and allows you to sneak through holes in the enemy line. The central objectives\' distance from your base makes take and hold victories difficult. Vehicles are very useful due to their ability to cover ground quickly but the lack of slag deposits helps to limit their numbers. Holding the central objective is made easier due to chokepoints and cover but a little artillery fire can clear that up. Games are usually pretty long and can go back and forth quite a bit.

City Seige

are a total of 8 strategic points, 2 relics, 2 slag deposits and 3 critical points. The city wall has only 3 breaches which creates chokepoints with lots of action. The inner city area is confining in some areas, giving infantry an advantage. Jump pack troops and skimmers work well because of their ability to jump over the defensive wall. Artillery are also very useful for clearing out chokepoints.

it\'s possible riches. Gameplay-wise it is classic urban combat, lots of small combat areas and loads of cover amongst the undergrowth and ruins. Players can mount a very effective defense from almost any point along the access to their bases which (theoretically) means that the main fighting should revolve around the central area with the Critical location and two Strategic points. Due to the incredible amount of objects and detail on this map it may well lag or slow down on some computers but, as I already stated, the object was to create a good-looking map.

teamed correctly. Another interesting variation is teaming players 1-4 vs. players 5-8. The teams start in small keeps with two levels and four initial LPs. (Upper levels are even players and all the lowers are odd). There are additional LPs outside the lower level, and 4 inside each swamp. Each player also gets control of a turret located directly outside the walls to give a castle effect. The upper level players have two turrets guarding the rear entrance from the swamp. One player also gets a small minefield. Due to a possible exploit, it was decided to add the mines in lieu of altering the terrain. The one relic point is located at the center of the map. This will make tier 3 techs only available to one player at a time and therefore a highly contested point. There are also 2 slag deposits, located between the center ramps. Not very easy places to defend, but the reward could be worth it. Finally, there are 4 CPs. One between Teams 1&2, another between 3&4. The other two are located in the swamps.

spice melange, a mysterious red powder used in many interesting things, most importantly in foldspace engines on spacecraft, is harvested from the desert surface. This world is a ruthless wasteland inhabited by nomadic \"savages\" called Fremen and the Great Worms which attack any rythmic vibrations. Of course this map does not feature Worms and no Fremen are present. The map is bissected by two large sietches (Fremen cave fortresses) containing power reserves and relics. These sietches are only accessible to infantry. Only a small gap between these sietches in the center allows vehicles to pass to the other side. As on Arrakis, many small infantry passages allow the sneaky individual to assault enemy bases from unexpected directions, allowing for interesting surprises not seen before. That\'s all I have for an explanation and most definently it is quite enough!

points between opposing players, or a shared resource during teamplay. The ramps also create an interesting contested area with LP points located at the top of each. This LP was added to allow structure reinforcement of the player controlling that ramp. Proceeding up the ramps into the main stronghold area, there are four relic points located on raised platforms. Surrounding the relic points, we placed some conservatory structure and added light cover to that area to simulate the cover created by those structures. In the center of the map is a raised platform where the single CP for the map is located, creating a \'king of the hill\' of sorts. It is only accessible by jetpack/teleport/deepstrike units and created some interesting tactics in our playtesting. The only issue we have with this is a possible Eldar exploit due to Bonesingers\' teleport ability.

limit it as much as possible jump-pack troops and deep strikes: cant get around this. i guess you could use the excuse that the troops are coming trhough airvents in the roof :) vehicles: i have intentionlly made two rooms big enough to build a vehicle centre. the only reason i did this was to enable you to tech up. vehicles do work but only to a degree, play it and you will see. I suggest you agree before hand with your opponent that you wont build vehicles.

In addition, I\'ve tried to take certain steps to reduce online-lag without sacrificing detail. You will have to be fast enough to use the full 3D camera to appreciate the map to its fullest. If you are able to do this, you will be richly rewarded with some of the best visuals you can expect from a map. There are 3 crits, 4 relics, 6 slags, and 20 strategic points. Different types of cover have been placed strategically all over the map to make battles and strategies evolve in a completely unpredictable and complex manner. The map was ideally designed for a standard 3v3 game with any kind of win condition but it could also work(if the players are spaced properly) just as well with 1v1 and 2v2. Get to know and enjoy this map, it is well worth the effort. This map is dedicated to the unsung heroes of THQ QA(that\'s not to say that I know anything about them).

you have only 2 players, DoW will use spots 1 and 2 no matter what you might want it to do, so this way the map can be played as a 1 v 1 as well. Just remember to set up the teams properly. I have a feeling this messes with the auto teams feature too, but I\'ve never tested it, so I don\'t actually know. I\'ve taken a bit of flak about the balencing, the Imperial side seems to have a small advantage due to the extra cover it has by the bridges. The options seem to be to put more cover in on the other side, which spoils the feel of the thing as a last ditch defence, or to take the cover out, which does the same. Personally, I can live with it, so you should too. Just put your better players on the offensive.

it is no standard circle/cross - map, for i wanted to make it more interesting, which in first tests looked good. Take a look at the editor screenshot to see the layout. There is no new custom content included, for i dont know yet how to get own textures/objects into the editor, but ill find out... The map has a jungle setting, i tryed to varry as much as possible on a map of that size. Unfortunately older pcs seem to have performance problems with a map of that size. There is also a very high fog/sky distance, to allow you to take screenshots also of very big battles while watching the replay. This should not affect the performance as long as u dont turn the camera during battle. It is my first published DoW map, but thats no excuse for bad work, so if u have ideas or criticis what to fix or improve tell me. computer-controlled opponents totalling four divided into two teams :). Four critical objectives are all placed in the middle of the map, each denoting the securing of a vital portion of the Telegraph Road. Bases start in the very corner of the map. Auto-Teams will team both short sides against each other. Each side has two ways to gain access to the upper highway. The first is closest to each teams\' bases. Teams one and two make use of ramps that were created by Chaos Armies and buttressed by heavy walls to slow down traffic by making it weave across the lanes. Teams three and four make do with the more crude but possibly more effective Ork engineering of bombing the upper road from space until it was at the same level as the ground. Crude walls were made in immitation of the Chaos buttresses, but prove just as effective with their razor wire and tank traps. The second way to access the upper road is by navigating the \"cloverleaf\" that curves from the outside lane of the lower road around and up to the outer lane of the upper road, near the middle. This gives quick access to the Critical Locations located atop the bridge that spans the lower highway (the blast doors have been sealed to protect the integrity of the bridge itself). It is possible to travel from one side of the highway to the other by looping up one side of the cloverleaf and down the other side. The only vehicle that might have difficulty navigating the cloverleaf is the Defiler. The Squiggoth will not at all fit. This is by design. (By design of the Defiler and the Squiggoth or design of the road is a question left as an exercise to the reader.)

The Imperium must not only hold the line here but also take the corrupted fields outside the city if they are to stop the chaos attacks on the city\'s eastern wall and set the staging ground to retake the island.

Four critical objectives are all placed in the middle of the map, each denoting the securing of a vital dias in the mysterious castle-esque artifact that rises out of the whirling desert sands. Critical Objectives at each end of the map hint to players that one might want to watch their back when playing against extra sneaky oppositional forces. Sometimes you can win the battle but lose the war. Bases start somewhere between the middle of the end of the map and the castle-esque artifact with strategic points both fore and aft of the base. Auto-Teams will team both short sides against each other. See the Map Icon in the game setup screen for base locations (it\'s really small because the map is so long, but you can get the general layout from a glance at the map). There are a total of five relics on the map, two placed at the very back of each side of the map that protect the critical location and provide the rear guard for the bases. During team play, the three allies will have to choose which two get relics and which one takes the critical objective for fairness sake. If you play with AI teammates, make sure you get your fair share, because the AI is generally greedy when it comes to resource points (on the other hand, enemy AI will share and share alike, it\'s so unfair!). The lone relic that sits in the middle of the castle-esque artifact rising out of the shifting sands is up for grabs. It can be the third relic for the teammate who chooses to not take one of the two at the rear. It will be a point of contention throughout the game. Control Points placed at strategic locations atop the ramps and below them help to secure the fortress. Personally, I think of control points figuratively, perhaps no more than simple communications stations that rest upon the sand having been orbital dropped just before the engagement from starships orbiting the planet where leaders see the battle only as blips on a vidscreen. They drop these points as references for their forces: Take these points and be rewarded. Lose them and we will abandon you to grisly deaths alone on an alien world facing your enemies without support, without hope. Do not fail us. There is a rather odd thread in the Relic News Dawn of War Maproom forum where this map was discussed. If you want to read me having a nervous breakdown and more about why I like this map and hate it at the same time, point your browser there. ( http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=52597 ) Suggest playing with Take & Hold (highly encouraged), Control Area (if you start losing here, start ordering bodybags) and Annihilate if you have to (I just don\'t like it, my personal opinion). Other game modes may or may not work very well in this setting such as Destroy HQ and Assassinate because each player\'s main base is not well-defended and attacks can come from any direction. Your only support is that which comes from your team mates and they\'ll be looking for the same from you.

The two others (one in the north, the other in the south) must play team and besiege him. I suggest Player 1 should be a skilled player because the challenge is difficult. I\'ve tested the map vs AI on Hard setting and it is very possible to win (it\'s even quite easy if the opponents are Eldars, don\'t ask me why I don\'t know). To me, but you are free of course, to rush on that map should be prohibited for multiplayer games. I\'ve tested the map against humies, well, it\'s very, very hard but a lot of fun anyway and many times very impressive !

The best you can do with squiggoth is using as base defense (i didn't test but i can be narrow for him ) I really liked creating this map as i had no limitation in detail as it is a really small map, anyway hope you have fun with it.

and wanted to give that feel in my scenario. It is a two player map but I have not played it with another person. I have played it many times through as the Space Marines and it can be pretty challenging. The idea of this map is not to make any building at all or build new units, try not to even reinforce your old ones. I did include buildings so that you could upgrade the units you already have. I believe that this would be a much harder scenario if there were a human in charge of the ork force. All of the victory locations are on the space marine side so that the computer tries to take them real quick and you get a great sense of what an ork onslaught would be like. So if you are playing two player its on your honor not to use them yourself.

This LP was added to allow structure reinforcement of the player controlling that ramp. Proceeding up the ramps into the main stronghold area, there are four relic points located on raised platforms. Surrounding the relic points, we placed some conservatory structure and added light cover to that area to simulate the cover created by those structures. In the center of the map is a raised platform where the single CP for the map is located, creating a \'king of the hill\' of sorts. It is only accessible by jetpack/teleport/deepstrike units and created some interesting tactics in our playtesting. The only issue we have with this is a possible Eldar exploit due to Bonesingers\' teleport ability.

A large volanic ash covered mountainous area, then a deep jungle with swamps and different paths and finally a destroyed city once an outpost of the imperial till the unholy forces of chaos infiltrated the population. This is one of the maps i thought i would never finish it, anyway here it is. A new experimental style map of mine. This time with a \"fun\" factor. At the critical in center of map you are able to summon a demon prince. OMGFLOLLOL you may think but i found out it is a very vitale method to force players to capture the middle :). The summoning is started by capturing the center and only critical. Once captured it needs 6 minutes until the demon prince starts. The summoning can be interupted if the critical is decapped, BUT the summoning can be RESUMED by another player. This makes it possible that one player hold the point for 5 minutes but another player who got the critical in time gets the demon!!! I hope you will enjoy my newest creation. ATTENTION: ONLY WINTER ASSAULT! If there are enough requests for a normal version i will add a version for normal DoW too. ----------------- Installation Note ----------------- Self-Installer there should be no problems, if you think it choosed a wrong path you have to set the correct path by yourself.

feedback on performance so that i can know whether to tweak it further or whether i can shove it back to the original size i wanted it> Visually this map is a lot more pleasing with a bigger sky box. I know this map is incredibly small i picked the smallest size available not realising how ridiculously small that really is. But it does make for fairly fast paced brutal games. Ill make a bigger version of the map if people like the design of this one. Any feedback on whether to swap the location of the slag heap and Critical location would be appreciated as well. However i figured not being able to build in the centre was probably best to stop people dominating the map there with base defences. Any other feedback is welcome. Plot A world ravaged by war and destruction it has become a barren wasteland. Chaos forces seem drawn to it for some unknown reason leading other races to suspect an artifact of great power may be here. Battle in the narrow beachead to establish a landing zone for your forces. I made this map as a way to get used to the editor initially. My current mod project is set on a desert world so i wanted to differentiate my map from the large number of urban / grassy areas i seem to see around.This is the first release of my first map Chaos Beach.

the other on the outskirts of a tainted valley. Each starting location has four Strategic Point, an Slag Deposit for each player, and a Relic area with three of them at each team\'s corner. There are two critical locations at the middle of a devastated and highly detailed city - also at opposite ends -, with two Strategic Points each to ease settlement. One is located at the entrance of a Temple, and one at an Imperial Starport. There is a total of 28 Strategic Points, two Critical Locations, 6 Slag Deposits, and Six Relics. The map is a little resource-heavy by itself, so High Resources is not recommended. Vehicle management and massive infantry movilization should be carefully done, since taking many units from one side of the map to another may result in obstruction of the not-so-wide streets of this city - plus there are debris partially blocking some.

Basic idea, two \"bases\" up to four people a piece, eveyone has a relic and a slag deposit, the bases are raised above the rest of the terrain to create a low ground high ground effect, then in the middle of each base is a ramp, rather large, but the only access point. The point is to make it impossible to play as annihalate, I get kind of tired of that style. Playing against human opponents I believe I did this successfully, and I included some stuff that should make AI more potent as well, but definately beatable still.

This map is a bit cramped around the bases for all players and the set up of your base need to be thought about so there is plenty of room and your troops can still move. There is four critcal locations between the players and a relic in the middle of the map. This map would probably be more suitable for a free-for-all game but can also be used for a 2v2 game. Also because of the relic and critcal locations it can be used with many victory conditions.

so this map is mostly an experiment in playing with it. Also, i\'ve tryed to get away from the mirrored/ying-yang style of mapping (not that there is anything wrong with that) and spend a bit of time on the non-play area. This map was originally designed to disallow larger vehicles entry into the pit and into the base starting areas, while Walkers can decend the ramps and enter the bases. This caused all sorts of pathing problems so the ramps were widened and the relative topo maximum was lowered which cured *some* camera issues with such large changes in surface profile. You\'ll notice that there aren\'t many models within the play area, there\'s a reason for this; small opencut mines generally don\'t have alot of infastructure - go visit one. This map is *not* meant for online competitive play, but more for you and a mate to beat the crap out of each other via LAN play.

colonization equipment while fleeing an imperial battleship. he hid, only to found an outpost and hideout for all his fellow outlaws that soon attracted more and more pursuited individuals throughout the empire. soon the place was buzzing with life - until the empire found out what happened to their colonization outpost. they dispatched an imperial battleforce to kill the \'heretics\' and bring krieger back alive to get judged by his righteousness himself. everybody would have considered this an easy mission, but with their back to the wall the inhabitants of tortuga valley killed nearly 2 regiments of the attacking force before they were exterminated with biological weapons that killed nearly the whole vegetation as well. today tortuga valley is deserted, inhabited only by the few that still treat it as a symbol for the resistance against the law and the government. only the still worknig waterpump is still witness to the origins of tortuga valley...

Human players vs the computer opponent. As you add human players, the map will automatically adjust the difficulty of the AI (giving them more troops), ensuring the game is always a fun struggle for survival. This game is the equivalent of attacking 9 different bases, each base having up to three well resourced players. Luckily, you do not have to face all their forces at one time. All the enemy bases and troops (with two exceptions) are completely automatically generated, so the map shot looks very boring. But do not be deceived, there will be way too many enemies for your peaceful existence. The beginning of the game gives you ample time to prepare your forces. Destroying the pitiful band of patrolling orks will start the first wave. And, just to give you a fighting chance, there will be a breather between the first wave and the second, again waiting for you to destroy a ragged ork band to start the next wave. But, take a deep breath before attacking that band. Once they are gone, you will not have a moment's rest until you have destroyed all the rest of the well-defended bases. This map is generated using EZScar, a simple scar engine that takes most of the difficulty out of generating singleplayer or multi-player games. You can easily create triggered events (take a point, give a squiggoth), actions (Orks patrolling along a set path), guns firing, keep people from entering areas before they have accomplished tasks, and many other things. Dead Oasis consists of a big lake, with a couple of pools going along the sides of the map which your men must wade through to get to the enemy. Alternatively, if you decided that your men like jump packs or teleporting, you can jump them onto the island in the middle of the oasis, covered in skulls and the like. Nice, eh? Then you can happily jump near to the enemy base. Necropolis is a big rushed, has a big mounatain in the centre which takes ages to get up, with 2 crits on the mounatin path. Lots of skulls n' stuff, quite fun to play on. Designed for 2v2s, where the game essentially becomes two 1v1s.

fast (and are brutal) cause the AI seems to capture points faster than you can. I left the AI chokepoint glitch (too many AI markers) intact so that you can see how the AI reacts. They try to camp your side of the map which means they come at you in massive waves. I playtested it using SM vs Orks. Normal settings This is my 1st map so no doubt there will be problems. I have also smoothed out a few things on the map to make it look better. These are just small changes.

This also means that once in the enemy base they cannot escape. I have not tested the use of artillary on this map but I have a feeling that any race with artillary will have fun firing over walls! This of course would then make it difficult for enemies to destroy your artillary weapons. All in all this should be fun!

Unholy Meatgrinder

There are two main entrances into the city. 1) The main entrance, heavy cover above the wall and negative cover in the path heading up allow this to be an exceedingly easy passage to protect for the defenders. 2) To the north of a tiny village the enemy has breached the wall and ruptured a factories integrity allowing their forces to swarm through; it is this point that the attacking side has the advantage on as it is not easily defended by the defenders; the attacker can use this point to flank and secure the main entrance if played right. The attackers also only have one relic however if the city is breached relics are readily available. The other layer of defense available to the defenders is the trench. It gives the defenders heavy cover whilst leaving anyone foolish enough to be charging towards it negative cover.

The Relic Of Agrivatus

is NOT going to work in this map. Building placement is crucial to insure units don\'t become trapped and also increases the number of base raids per game and gives a greater amount of importance to controlling critical areas on the map. This is amplified by the fact that there is only ONE relic on the map. Vehicles can be used on this map but cannot be used for all avenues of approach in many cases (although I\'ve found they can get into either starting location with startling efficiency and results *evil grin*). From experience I think this map really puts the emphasis on foot based and jump units and tends to become a squad vs. squad slugfest in many cases. I have seen both camps win at this point so I feel it\'s pretty balanced as far as advantages and disadvantages but I\'m open to comment via the forums at relicnews.com. I hope you enjoy the map as much as I enjoyed making it.

Attack from the back, lure with bait, go head-on, everything is possible because of the map stucture so use your brains X) Some part of the map, especially tight spots are hard to see due to objects or roof tops blocking your view, so rotate the camera for clear view.

The Imperium must not only hold the line here but also take the corrupted fields outside the city if they are to stop the chaos attacks on the city\'s eastern wall and set the staging ground to retake the island.

cover. Near the middle of the map is a road block with the only critical location in the map. On one side of the street is a small ruined hab block. On the other side are the tall, ruined appartments. Most of the map is cover (this is because I originally made this map for personal use with \"His Righteous Mod\", as the imperial guardsmen in that look cooler sneaking through the habs if the habs provide cover and I wanted to get some cool screen shots :)).Out on the road is the only area not in cover, but the craters provide heavy cover. There are 2 relics: one in the habs, one around the appartments. Can\'t remember how many strategic point there are... but enough for a small map anyway.

Holding the central position will give the player a certain economical advantage, and if used right, can also give the player a secondary base to start the player's assault with. The author recommends that the first and second players start off as team 1, with the third and fourth players being team 2. The map is solidly designed, and has open fields varying in hill sizes and all. Now with the update, the author has payed more attention to detail, so you will be seeing a few objects, like trees and such here and there. The changes to the map are quite impressive. The Vacanet River map

2 trenches in which to take cover in and have mines set up in No Man\'s Land. Each trench contains a critical location to capture. I have tried to set up a frontline theme for this map so the trenches are made to be as real as possible (i.e. right trench pattern, rased ground on the lip). Also artillery craters litter the map and both armies have mine field structures in No Man\'s Land to add to the defense. Each trench has four exit/entries where you can move your troops through.

But in the unfortunate event of you wanting to get rid of my map *cries* you can either: Uninstall DoW completely and they delete any remaining files or use the uninstall.exe included with the map which should be where all the maps are within the DoW directory. 2) The planet Valcar VII has been ravaged by a devastating warp storm which has lasted approximately over 23 years, with the storm now easing the Administratium, worried about the civilian and military population upon the world has sent forth off world convoys to search and determine the fate of those that lived there. Sadly though, not all is as hoped upon the planets surface, the once lush and vibrate landscape is nothing more then a cracked and barren wasteland. There is little to no indigenous life remaining to be seen. Worse though is that the planet seems to have been attacked. It is yet unknown, but the significant deployment of Imperial Guard that was once stationed here is decimated beyond belief. There is however a few survivors, and odd pockets of old settlements which seem to still be standing. It\'s a Wasteland down there, but why? 3) These people have helped me throughout my mapping endeavours, even though you didn\'t even know you were doing it. The list in no particular order or completeness is as follows: Hanna, monoRAIL, Star Wars Kid, Dyselon, Rayden, Totmacher, other various Relic devs and most notably would be Capt.Katana and Raven Gamer. 4) This as you may have noticed is my second map for Dawn of War. While not quite as new as a new map, but more like a remake. If you have my first map Wastelands, you\'ll notice the similarities between this and that map. But What\'s different in this release is now there are two relics, slag deposits, and a crit location for you guys to all battle over. Some have said they wanted these things to mix up the game play a bit, so I though why the heck not. I have built this version from the ground up for Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War in honnor of my favorate map from one of my favorate games. Enjoy!! To istall simply place all of these files (except this text document) in the folder called MP found in the folder Scenarios in the folder Data in the folder W40K under the Dawn of War Dicrectory. Which by default should be found in the folder THQ in Program files. (For Windows) I don\'t know where it would be on other OS systems.

Oh yeah, and each player gets a selection of civilians to use as bullet shields/cannon fodder. See what you can do with that. I\'ve been trying to release an \"Iron Storm\" version of this map but have run into some problems with the engine, so I figured I\'d just put this out already. I\'m going to recommend a Radeon 9600 or better graphics card be the average for decent play on this map as I used a lot of animations. Story: \"And let there be a great pathway dedicated upon the highway of the ancients, trodden by the Prophet; for it is pleasing in the sight of the Emperor, the most divine\" - A reading from the Letter of the Prophet Umbult to the Isolans, Canto IV verse 8. The processional highway must be secured to prevent a direct assault on the fortified gates of Isola Primus. The chokepoints should be obvious. I\'ve play tested with both orcs and chaos and I think the results are satisfactory. Just don\'t get complacent. There is only one artifact on the map and it isn\'t easy to hold given the location near the small promethium refinery. Good luck. I had a lot of fun making this, especially the barricades and pipelines and the burning fuel slick. I\'m planning an updated version for the Imperial Guard once the expansion is released. [-)

Sneak attacks by Eldar or deepstriking by SM could give a significant advantage if used wisely. This map appears to work fine for all Dawn of War 1 releases. around the idea of hell this map has it could very well be perdition/eternal damnation. This map is best for 2v2 game play only, with resource sharing on and is ideal for Annihilate/take and hold. I simply love the whole look to this map. The scorched earth look to the terrain and the blood red skies are a perfect setting for war. Even the red mist screams of bloody battle. The map design is pretty much straight forward, follow the road to the centre and fan out from there..though the gates are a nice touch. The map lighting and the texturing makes this map rather difficult to move large units due to the low light. Overall this map is really enjoyable and worth downloading.

points nearby and another one a little furthur away from your base (This one will most likely be contested a lot.) There is a large river running through the middle of the map that is accessed from 6 ramps (Three on each side) the relics are located on 2 sets of 2 (2 at each end) in this river. The water is of varying deepness with the middle being very deep (Deep enough to submerge defiler up to its head. Many a battle will be fought in the river over the relics. (trust me i know i tested it with 4p LAN games) The river is surounded by moutainous ridges on either side tha only allow access to the river at the ramps. Also.. Your units will take light cover when on high ground and be in negative cover at the base of ramps/ hills or in the river- use to your advantage!! the map has been tested with AI players and it works quite well with them (although humans are much more fun :P ) I hope that you enjoy playing this map as much as i did.

Your mission: Contact with the holy city of Archon IV has been lost. The Imperial Guard garrisons last order was to secure and hold the cathedral \'Semper Fidelis\' until reinforcements arrive. Long-range surveillance indicates that they have failed. Can your take AND hold the Semper Fidelis. - Alea iacta est - Why a remixed version? Well a thought it would be groovey to be able to play the map with everyone potentially being able to tech to level 3. I have replaced the relic in the centre with 1 critical point (the only one on the map - very nice for take and hold) and I have also re-adjusted the impass areas to be a little more forgiving (tanks etc had a hard time on some areas in the previous version). Enjoy!:) Map layout: The map has a number of features that I hope makes things a little interesting. 1 - Each player starts off in a reasonably defensible position, with either higher ground and/or 2/3 choke points leading to their base. Government offices Wilderness Factory Refinery 2 - Cover. To keep things simple all craters have a heavy cover stat, with trees offering light cover (broken trees and roots offer broken light cover).

War. This map was made by me, Terren C. (aka- WerdBear). bringmeasandwich@gmail.com This is a simple 1v1 map for either skirmish or multiplayer. It is a small, rectangular map that has a large lake in the middle. The lake can be waded through. There are only 6 strategic points, which makes all of the points contested. On the sides of the lake is are narrow paths that should open up some strategies other than massing (which would be difficult, given the few resources). Two strategic points are elevated and inaccessable by most units. The two large entrances to the lake, located on either side, towards both starting points, are areas of heavy cover. I think this map will be a strategists dream. If you like experimenting with different plans of attack, this map will be for you.

Place the Loading picture in your Loading folder. This was just done to fill a few hours of idle time - i came acroos an old map from TT days and remembered just how bad the scenery and such actually was in the days before high prices and fine castings. Lego, flock, cardboard and generally a free-for-all of beer cans and bongs on the table to represent alien artifacts (many of which seemed to move position as the game progressed). Is a bit of fun centering around the narrow fords in the river. Good for a quick blast.

Player 1 starts off at the back of the ship, whilst player 2 is down in the lower level. Player 3, however, is on the iceberg itself, with rubble as its only passageway into the ship.

provides excellent materials for contructing and maintaining Psycho - sensitive metals, such as Psyker staves, and Warp Gate frames... Skirmish/Mission Hybrid #1! Truly a glorious moment for my mapping history. This map is probably the best I've done so far. Layout: Imperial Guard (Player 1) Tau Empire (Player 2) Chaos (Player 3) This map is set on a Geonosis-like terrain. That is, to those who are Star Wars deficient, a red, dusty, Mars like, hilly, rocky terrain. Beware, the map is in the middle of a dust storm. Player one starts off in a bit of a gorge, with massive cliffs on either side. Player 2 is on a raised plateau, with one of the most strategic strategic - points in the map. Player 3 is in a cave with some precious minerals, and a hidden exit. The map contains hilly terrain, vespid raiders, a lava pit, a plateu, a canyon, a cave, a hidden exit and many more features.

depleted the local water table due to the excessive use of high yield incendiary weapons over the once numerous oceans and lakes leaving this once lush planet a barren waste of dirt and rock, interspersed with small oases of water. This massive loss of water does, however, have significant military benefits as the drastic lowering of the planetary water table has exposed several ancient reliquaries of a bygone era. A few of these relics are positioned near to ancient power points suggesting that they were once powered for some purpose. The largest of these reliquaries has been code named Sandbar Gulch due to the sandbars and gulches that are the only paths between your drop zone and the relics. The narrowness of most access points will make any largescale offensive difficult. Be prepared to leave much of your large machinery behind when you enter any of the canyon systems. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: unzip this folder, put all the files except for this readme in your W40K/Data/Scenarios/MP/ Folder Put this readme anywhere you want. end of directions TEAMS: The teams should be set up so that it is odd verse even. LEGAL: Sandbar Gulch (hereafter \"The Map\") was created by Kurohyou using the Dawn of War Mission Editor. The Map may be distributed so long as there are no fees charged for said distribution including site registration fees and monthly subscription fees. A fast and easy map with a few bottlenecks to keep it interesting. Eldar are at an advantage in that they can construct on the altar and the other races builders cant reach it. The map is solidly designed, and has open fields varying in hill sizes and all. The map however, lacks a bit in detail, but seeing how this is the author's first map, it is quite impressive. Space Marine outpost, and attempt to cleanse the Desert of Chaos... This is but a small preview of the onslaught of skirmish/mission hybrid maps I will release. These maps start you off with troops, possibly buildings, and maybe even resources. This particular map is set out like this: Player 1 = Imperial Guard Player 2 = Chaos Player 3 = Space Marines Allies The actual map is where you start off with a small Guard army, stopping the scourge of chaos from exiting a 'Warp Bridge'. On the Chaos side of the bridge is a small Chaos army in the midst of a Chaotic landscape. To the North on that side is a small set of frightened and hurt Guardsmen, under attack by traitors and Chaos. They're doomed =D ! On the Space Marine side of things, which lies to the North of the Guard Army, is the Space Marine base, along with a lighthouse and a small Marine garrison. This one is a DEMO, so don't complain about the incomplete minimap or any bugs you may encounter. Installation: SAVE the download to your Desktop, then move it into your Dawn of War map directory. (eg. C:/program files/THQ/Dawn of War - Dark Crusade/DXP2/Data/Scenarios/MP)

Arrakis: Tears of Shai Hulud

can run on top of it and inside it (eww). I also wanted the map to be assymmetric, so I made one side Fremen with rocky natural formations, and a Harkonnen side which is industrial and has slaves and huge pipe networks. I am not sure if I balanced it good enough for both sides but if anyone has any complaints, I will change it in another version. I also thought it would be interesting to have the Hakonnen side have defense turrets and soldiers. Of course they are all neutral. Sometimes the imperial guard troops look like they have had too much caffeine and will spasm at anyone who comes near, also the bolter turrets will stare suspiciously at anything that walks, drives, or stomps by. I made some really steep dunes for vehicle ramping action and they seem to work well.It may play kind of slowly, I did my best to improve performance, though it may play slightly jittery. I hope you enjoy it, I have been working on this for a week and I have spent many hours on it!

Players 1 and 2 each have access to 5 strategic points, whereas 3 and 4 only have 4 each, making this a good map for a beginner team vs computer AI. Tested to be fully functional, but it does lack some additional detail and decals, has some very steep areas that are fully passable, and defensive sandbag piles that units can still pass through. In all it isn't bad for the download and you are not likely to have lag on this map!
