is a total conversion mod for Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour. Red Alert 3, as you might guess, is a mod that turns Generals into the Red Alert universe. Red Alert 3 gives the player a chance to see Red Alert in a whole new light. The units of Red Alert are now crisp and clean thanks to General's great graphics engine. Not everything is here from the original, but players can still choose what countries they want to be. Germany still has tank destroyer, and France still has their cheap old "Grand Cannon". Red Alert 3 features full campaigns for each fraction, including Yuri. The side bar [b]is[/b] back into play in the mod. Although Red Alert 3 is like its original, it is still far different. Since the creators couldn't rewrite the entire game, Yuri's mind control units don't in essence mind control; all they do is kill the driver of the tank or kill the people inside a building to make it neutral. Once neutral, the object may be taken over by the player's forces. The maps in Red Alert 3 are decent and the full campaigns will having you playing for hours. Since this mod goes just a little bit over the top in violence, this must be added: [b][u]WARNING: This mod contains content that may not be suitable for children under 15.[/b][/u] Sorry, but when the mod let's infantry get blown up into little chunks is where I draw the line for a rated "T" game. Lag might be a problem online if your not careful. The extra particle effects is also an added bonus. [*][b]Balance-[/b] This mod could be a lot more balanced. The suicide trucks that Lybia has is actually a nuke when it blows up! Boris' air strike can be fired from all the way across the map and the list goes on! The modders did do a good job on unit-to-unit combat though. For example, if a rhino tank is up against a lasher, the rhino wins. [*][b]Creativity-[/b] I can't give the modders creativity kudos for this mod because all the units were all ready made; but because of the way they made Red Alert 2 units work [mind control, terror drone, ect.] they get some credit. Although sometimes the fixes can make the units unbalanced. For example, the terror drone can attack buildings now with pretty good results.[/list]

This time the mod comes out a whopping 120 mb! - it will be hard to get on a 56k modem, hopefully no one has one of those anymore. :P This is only a beta so if there is bugs that’s understandable and it comes in a nifty installer package with instructions on how to install, so it’s pretty hard to mess this one up. The Luchtmobiele Brigade general is specialised in fast air combat and other forms of fast air assaults. The Panzer General specialises in Tanks and Artillery. Especially the Artillery play a strong role with the Panzer General. The mod also has a small humoristic side to it, which can be found in the voices. We know Holland is not a world superpower, but we are active in almost every war and help in countless countries to maintain peace and order. We do play an important military role, our army is highly trained and uses top of the notch military equipment often developed by Holland. This is a tribute to the Dutch Army, for no matter what role they play, they are almost never included in wargames. Now the ducth can fight the world with their own army :)

GLA Assault can train the MiG-29 and can upgrade his marauder tanks to have stinger missiles on the back. The Cybernetic General can train cyborgs and tanks that look and act like spiders. The spider tank has dual cannons and can climb up mountains. The other generals have different changes with them, like the Nuke General has infantry that shoot very small nukes. Contra adds a different type of game play to the table as well. Contra promotes a type of "rush" style. For example, the player can not buy vehicles or infantry that are extremely powerful until they are rank 3. This promotes players coming out of their bases to get their rank up faster. Contra also notifies the players when a different player's rank goes up, so everyone knows. This mod has a messed up install program, so to help, I've taken the liberty to make a picture telling how to install. [u][b]Review-[/u][/b] [list] [*][b]Fun Factor-[/b] Contra is extremely fun! Every game is a new experience and you'll never get bored. There's so much units and new buildings to play around with as well. The only thing from keeping this as a 10 in fun factor is the "no units before rank 3" thing. This makes it much harder to go and quickly test out all of the generals, the player actually has to play. [*][b]Balance-[/b] The balance in Contra is discriminatory toward other generals. Other generals are just plain better then others. The nuke general for example, has long rang nuclear artillery that can take out any general quickly...well after rank 3. [*][b]Creativity-[/b] Creativity is noticeable in Contra. All the stuff the new generals get are new and fun. The upgrades overlords can get, for example, are vast and fun to play with.

And now for the review: This mod is very well done. Simply put, the graphics aren't up to par with C&C3, but that's because this is for Generals. The textures could use some work on the buildings and new units, perhaps add a bit of detail. However, the code side of this mod is almost perfect. I found no bugs in my testing, and everything works completely as advertised. The only other bad thing I can say is that some units feel unbalanced, but only longer gameplay would make sure of that. The generals have been made so that before you go to battle you really have to analyze the type of map and what kind of resistance you may encounter. This is because one general that is great against another may be inferior against yet another general. However, at the same time, all generals have been given such abilities so that they all should be able to fight on somewhat equal conditions. The mod focuses on human vs human gameplay and so I have tried to make it as broad as possible to suit any kind of players gamestyle. You will find the ability to wage massive naval wars, huge air battles, extreme tank battles or perhaps you prefer thousands of infantry units fighting each other. You may be the defensive type of player, then play as the artillery general, or maybe you like to play very aggressive, then play as the assault general...You will have all these options available to you. Some generals will be specialized in one type of fighting, like infantry generals, tank generals and air force generals, but all will somewhat be able to compete in all genres. If you like the original Zero Hour, you'll definitely love this mod as it widely expands the game but at the same time holds on to the typical gameplay.

The new types of game play that MidEast Crisis shows are \"Oil Refinery\" \"Superweapon\" and \"Special Army Technology\". Oil refineries are now placed throughout maps in key positions. Oil refineries are indestructible and gives the player a constant flow of $1000 into the player\'s funds; this is done to encourage players to be more open in the first few minutes of game play. In Zero Hour, there\'s superweapons as buildings, in MidEast Crisis, the superweapons are now vehicles. The superweapon missiles fly low so enemies can blow it out of the sky if the vehicle is not placed at a strategic location. Special Army Technology is like choosing what general you would like to be, but the player put have 3 stars in general abilities. If the player has this, they can choose between 3 different generals like air force or tank. If this is done, then the units that the player once was able to build get switched; for example, if the player picks the air force general then he gets better planes and helicopters, but his tanks are not very good. [b][u]Review:[/b][/u] [list][*][b]Fun Factor-[/b] The mod is great fun. The units in the mod flow nicely, and the Special Army Technologies keep me coming back to try to find all the different units one general gets. The particles are fantastic as well, and the AI is beefed up to extremes; but this my be bad for some players because the mod has somewhat of a learning curve. [*][b]Balance-[/b] The balance is done very well in MidEast Crisis. The team did make it realistic to a point, but RPG troopers are still weak against troops unless they have a special RPG that is good against troops equipped; which helps the mod a lot in balance. Tanks also don\'t do very much damage to infantry, and airplanes are relatively easy to shoot down. [*][b]Creativity-[/b] The creativity is great! The new styles of game play and the whole idea of the oil refineries is a great concept. The general\'s powers are also creative, as one power is a modified SR-71 that bombs an area.

Every unit has been rebalanced to ensure fun, balanced gameplay. The new Russian Federation has the most powerful units in the game, but their infantry is weak individually; they are cheaply trained and are trained quickly, but they only are effective in numbers. Upgrades for the Russian Federation will reduce costs of your units and increase firepower for your units as well. The USA, China, and the GLA have been revamped also. There is a new "Anti-Aircraft Tier System", which will give aircraft a better chance to survive by lower tier Anti-Aircraft fire. The best against other aircraft in this mod are the Tier 3 units: other aircraft that engage the enemy in the skys! New maps and harder computer opponents complete this mod as being a great mod for time to come.

These guys really want this game to stay on the top list of Generals mods. So, they tested the balance between the different armies by holding tournies between eachother. One of my favorite things that they've added deployable artillery, which is towed by a halftrack. I sure hope you guys enjoy this mod!
You may have guessed by now, it's set in the middle east, present era. There's a big fight going on between Iraq and USA! And Iraq has increased military capabilities to be competitive. The Iraq side is incomplete, so I will review the USA side. It has new models for almost everything, new buildings, new superweapons, new upgrades, and even new voices! The new music fits the mood very well, imagine what you would hear setting up a blockade on a road in Baghdad. And you can do exactly that with the new buildings! Set up a checkpoint and watch your enemies crumble as they waste their forces against it. There may be future releases of this mod, but the team is slowing down, and can't promise them. There are also a lot of missing info on camos; the pictures on the new units are very generic and look like they are just screen captures from in game. The mod is also really unbalanced, 6 rpg troopers can take out a gatling cannon and other very "strange" things can happen. [b][u]Review[/b][/u] [list] [*][b]Fun Factor-[/b] Although there is [b]many[/b] problems with this mod, it is surprisingly fun! Almost everything in this mod [unit wise] is new so you will have hours of fun just trying out the new generals and seeing what the new units do. RPG troopers kill rangers in 1 shot, air craft is lightening fast, ect. The Chinese Councelor took place in a Meeting with the USA, who told him to stay calm, The Russian\'s would never take part in a War again with their outdated Technology, but a few Days later russian Shilka\'s shot down patroulling MiGs near their Borders without any Reason. The Chinese answered this Attack with an Air-Raid against the Military Base near Tupolew, then the Russian Goverment made a Call with the Chinese High Authorities. But this made the whole Situation a lot more worse, because the Russians swore to kill every single Chinese Soldier who steps over the Borders and assists the hated Americans in their Wars against innocent People. Anyway, The Russians agreed to take away their Troops from the chinese/russian Borders as soon as the Chinese Military stopped to work with the USA. But this should never happen, since the American/Chinese Relationship got a much bigger One after defeating the GLA. What will happen next? Will the Americans interfere once again to stop this Red Menace or will they hold themselves back for a While, and what will the GLA do? Are they really done or just covering in the Background to gather new Strength? As good old Einstein would say...... Time will tell!

Nuker\'s USA Campaign: Black Hawk Down was put back as first mission. GLA Campaign: It is only a last mission of the campaign. It is the only one that seems to work with the mod. China Campaign is only the first 4 mission. The Fifth would freeze.

Katana Loyalists, and begin your base building. Then, you build a barracks & start with your infantry. As you fight, you gain more weapons, as Rank 2 (Captain) will get you Light Vehicles, and Rank 5 (Colonel) grants you artillery weapons, but it goes up to level X (9). The main resources are crystals which are spawned by random orbs in the ground, known as Kalar Crystals. Battles last long time, and you have to plan even more when attacking, & not just send an army. For instance, most stealth units gain a disadvantage, such as low health, armor, or such. But it may gain stealthier tactics like silenced pistols, to timed bombs. Tanks can be ambushed by artillery, but of course, artillery needs to see it, it has a very short view. Pros: It was a rather funny mod. It really did change the sides completely, and it focuses on war from the start. Since you can't build anything besides infantry until you are promoted, you have massive infantry battles in the start, then you progress to better vehicles and units, which adds a nice flavor to the game. There's no way to win as a turtle which is cool. Cons: The graphics weren't all that good. Models and textures could be much more professional. JohnWE's Verdict: If you're looking for a multiplayer mod that has quite different gameplay, download this mod. If you're looking for a good-looking mod, don't.

concept of this mod is to allow for all technologies, including additions, to be accessible to one faction. A new faction has been set up, namely Armageddon, for which the player can select. At present, it can build the best of what is already available to each faction so far as units and special powers are concerned. The majority of buildings are of the US, but that is likely to change since I will probably be using civilian structures. Every object that the new faction uses will be cloned, it will not build existing faction objects. Also included will be a few additions, some pending permission from their respective authors (BlackHawk and Osprey, for example). I don't plan to include much new art, although certain things will require such. I will also be including additional superweapons, the Baikonur has already been adopted and is currently in working order, whilst the ScudStorm has been upgraded, it is totally devestating. I also have an effective PoW system so that the player can "capture" enemy infantry (actually, it destroys them and spawns a replacement), whilst a PoW can be delivered home to be exchanged for an otherwise non-buildable unit. One might suggest that the faction will be over-powerful, making the game unbalanced. Whilst that is essentially true, for a start, ZH has a much improved AI than Generals and besides, the player can oppose several AI factions so as to balance the game. As for unique maps, splash screens, anything that is not faction-specific, I'm simply not interested in. This mod will not include an installer, anybody who wishes to use it can basically backup any existing modifications and instead use the Armageddon files. Whilst this mod cannot be used alongside other mods, it can be used with the existing setup because I have not and do not plan to alter the original factions or generals in any way.

idea never gotten any form until early 2006 were I made the very first model for the mod and started working on organizing the mod and planning things by myself. The mod itself is based of an old game known as WarGames which was made by a game studio which was formerly known as InterActive Studios. confirmed it is not the mod, but is actually a problem with the EA install. Microsoft has a fix out there for Windows 7 32 and 64 bit systems to help make the game work. Most of the prices are the same as USA's, so it'll be an easy side to pick up. This is the beta, so it doesn't include all the changes. The models are decent, but the textures could use improvement. Balance is good, and the variety is something you'll be looking for in a mod for a 4 year old game.

Every unit has been rebalanced to ensure fun, balanced gameplay. The new Russian Federation has the most powerful units in the game, but their infantry is weak individually; they are cheaply trained and are trained quickly, but they only are effective in numbers. Upgrades for the Russian Federation will reduce costs of your units and increase firepower for your units as well. The USA, China, and the GLA have been revamped also. There is a new "Anti-Aircraft Tier System", which will give aircraft a better chance to survive by lower tier Anti-Aircraft fire. The best against other aircraft in this mod are the Tier 3 units: other aircraft that engage the enemy in the skys! New maps and harder computer opponents complete this mod as being a great mod for time to come. Nuke Lotus can kill infantry with kung fu, and plant neutron bombs which can be upgraded with neutron mines to make minefields. She can call in an air strike which drops 2 Frantan napalm bombs. Nuke general has long range artillery instead of Gatling turrets, and bunkers which come with free infantry. Little Upgrade Mod V1.0 by JanB This mod strives to improve C&C Generals Zero Hour without changing too much: there is only one new unit and there are no new generals but the general\'s challenge is completed with maps for the GLA Demolition and Chinese Infantry generals (General Kwai is the first to face them). The weaker generals have been buffed slightly and the more difficult/tedious missions and general\'s challenges have been made a bit more forgiving.
