command if you look near earth =) I am am still shocked in the qualit of this planet/map mod.
moons). I’ve used this earlier in the week due to having access of it through Yacuzza, and I can tell you from personal use, it is something breathtakingly good ;) – If we had more people who had this kind of talent, Armada II would be something of the future Anyhow, download is a must! - SSA
people do, they don\'t replace/affect any of the existing planets, and its very easy to install. Check out the readme for a full list of planets!
to any of the planets in A2, I'll be keeping this in my game, it gives some great views.
heavy for Armada 2 standards, they need quite some memory (which could cause some trouble for older graphic cards). [u]- TParis
it's from FahreS, so you know it's good stuff. Black holes and other fine-detail mods of this sort are the kinds of things we need most right now! There are plenty of seemingly-trivial aspects of A2 which, if properly modded, can keep this game engine useful and useable for quite some time to come. There's no limits to what we can mod in this game, it seems, aside from those in the hard-coding. A2's never looked better, and this mod (and others like it) remain as the reason why.
spin. Very creative.
damage textures and act as wreckage on the map. This is a great idea because that original stock scrap just isn't that great. That's why this mod is necessary - you can see actual ships wrecked instead of a couple of pieces of dust! Download this one if you want!

worlds, to Geidi Prime-like worlds, this is an awesome addition to the game.
starbase. So what I\'ve done is made .sod files of the planets WITH THE TEXTURES already on! It\'s just the .sods and \'.tga\' textures for each one (the 2 stock textures for each planet merged into one for each planet).
of which there are two for each planet. That equates to 9.4MB of memory on your graphics card for each texture, meaning that displaying a single planet with this installed is going to take up 18.8MB of your graphics cards memory. This is probably acceptable these days, and it probably won't kill your PC unless you have several planets onscreen at the same time as well as a small fleet of ships with high quality textures. These do look gorgeous, however personally I have to question the benefit of using a texture map larger than the maximum screen size of the stock game. Even if your running at 1600x1200 (which I don't beleive many people are) in tactical mode with the planet centered at point blank range you still wouldn't be seeing 100% detail. It's worth noting that the screenshots are 1024x768, which means that the planet is being viewed at under half it's possible resolution. That's not a fault of the mod and this is defiantly worth downloading, but personally I would consider downsizing the textures by 50% before installing them. That would quarter the resources required on the graphics card, and I don't think any difference will be noticeable. - Freyr
looks convincing enough on stock planets. (I wouldn\'t suggest trying it on non-object planets like the Midnight Universe planets, but they have their own clouds anyway for the most part.)
would get much use, other than once knocked out the oppositions engines, this does add to the map environment, especially when playing a map with badlands backgrounds. - Ash
game that don't include massive quantities of resources among them. This will definitely fill a gap in your stock A2 when you don't want a class D planet but also want a little round something to fill space.
you need these mods to get this on working. The clouds of these mods looks much better than the stock ones. But the problem: no attention was paid to the seams of the clouds for the stock planets. This mod will fix it.
for those of you who aren't able to run mods with newer, resource-intensive asteroids.
/ Alpha Quadrant map). This includes the stock .SOD, with new textures --along with instructions in both English and German. Not a bad first mod from scimifan!
