Return To Castle Wolfenstein

Den of Lions

If you're a veteran RtCW player and a custom maps fan, then RivrStyx has once again come along with yet another fantastic addition to the custom map scene. Here's a description from Rivr himself on
Show All
the map: "The story is the Allies have occuppied the old farmhouse to invade the Axis complex and destroy their radar. The Allies just recieved munitions and the Axis are to blow it up to render the Allies incapable of an attack. Plenty of sniper areas... and the no mans land is a way to flank the is the lion/antiaircraft area a way to flank the Axis" Den of Lions returns a bit closer to the first release Callfire, more WW2 war related with more outdoor and interior fighting this time, but not to be forgotten underground tunnels and elaborate sewer systems are also in the offering here.Along the Allied and Axis objective areas, stop and look up at the immense size of the buildings on this map,the architecture is amazing and the size dwarfs you as a player. Rivr has once again made my reviewing a map so easy..GET this one!! Fantastic landscaping towering waterfalls, dark tunnels and beautiful lighting will have you exploring this map solo, and it's advisable to explore this one,or come gametime you'll be following the crowd, hoping the guy beside you knows where to go! Both teams are on the offense, and defense, this dual objective map will most likely go the timelimit and into overtime on many games. Like his last map mp_Resurrection,Rivr has opted to place ammo and med packs in strategic areas so a LT. off on an offense raid can go about his mission helping his squad. Once again..{and thank you Rivr},both objectives are inside,so it will take a real military squad to get in and accomplish the objective,no Lt. canister tossing contest on this one. Both sides have to dynamite their objectives! and moving from outdoor terrain inside will require teamwork on a heavily guarded position. All I can say is..Get this one. You won't be disapointed..and if we're really nice maybe we can talk Dan"RivrStyx" into a sequel to "Resurrection" Reviewed by Det Pak
