USS Equinox

Description:

First off, this is meant to be an RPG map and not an FFA/THM/etc. It does have all the basic parts to an RPG map: bridge, engineering, sickbay, transporter room, quarters and so on. I can\'t say I\'m

in to the whole RPG thing so I don\'t really know what all RPG-fans expect out of these maps. I felt the map is still very much in its infancy and needs a lot more work before it should have been released. The lighting is not very nice and pretty much washed out everywhere. There are a couple z-fighting errors and leaks in the map and the mirrors and ladders do not work. The hallways are rather small and give a very claustrophobic feeling. I would recommend redoing a lot of the map. Lighting needs a source and shouldn\'t flood the room. Directional lights do add to the ambience. Scale is an important factor, the hallways should be made wider and the rooms either need nicer details or need to be compacted/re-designed. Things like wall supports really help to add depth and more realistic feel than having a flat wall. I don\'t want to get into all the nitty gritties, but the map does have some nice things such as transporters and ofcourse, there seems to be considerable effort put into it already :) Bot Support: No New Textures: Yes New Sounds: No
