Piranha Class

Description:

Always a pleasant surprise to get a Cardassian ship, though that\'s probably down to the fact that it\'s something of a rarity. This is a nice \"re-texture\" of the fighter in Achilles\' texture

tutorial which Gavin has made full use of. There are some very nice glows for the engines (both impulse and warp) along with some good textures which admittedly are based off the tutorial, but still hold up well, that make the ship look good. The ship also comes with an array of weaponry as well as some customised weapon textures to match which is always a nice addition, however I believe the ship might have TOO many weapons for the class it is (I can\'t see it being much more than a heavy cruiser at best). The mod itself does stand up well though, including a wireframe, a buildbutton, the customised textures as I said above and an admiral\'s pic, so really a full house. The textures are good but they are very close to the tutorial\'s version which I would see as my true issue with this mod. I\'m thinking next time, make the model a bit less generic (ie, from a tutorial) but keep the textures, or vice versa, just to make it stand out a little more. Regardless, it IS a good mod and really good to look at, providing you like Cardassian ships. Download now.
