times before Drow war parties attacked their hated enemies - Elves - but usually they were unsuccesfull because daylight causes pain to their eyes and without constant magic support Drow feel very uncomfortable on the surface. Now, however, situation is different. Rumors say that Drow are now led by fearsome Valsharess, one of the drow matriarchs who was able to wipe out all rival houses and unite all of the drow under her control. But the worst thing is that Valsharess was able to bid powerful Devil Prince to her will by using his True Name. Having attained such great power, Valsharess is planning to crush all surface-dwellers. Alarmed by these news, Lady Aribeth de Tylmarande sends a group of legendary heroes who once saved the city of Neverwinter from the Plague to investigate the matter and, if possible, assasinate Valsharess. (Note: The story is alternative to what happened in game - Aribeth rejected the path of evil and darkness, was able to redeem herself, returned to her role as a Paladin of Tyr and finally became powerful champion of Order and Good. That was one of the possible endings in original Neverwinter Nights but in Bioware they chose the death of Aribeth as the \"official\" ending.) [/quote]
