Duel of the Fates

Description:

Let me start out by saying this demo doesn't quite have the same effect without the proper player models, so I'm hoping the author drops by his comments and leaves links to them! This demo, meant
Show All
to recreate the Duel of the Fates from Episode 1, actually seemed really accurate to me. There were a few parts that were inaccurate, such as Qui-gon and Darth Maul's deaths (Qui-gon died a little too quickly, and in the wrong spot, and Maul didn't take his trip down the big hole) but overall everything from Obi-wan's fall to the lower catwalk and Qui-gon's meditation in the force-field area were there. Here's what I didn't like about it. It's recorded from Obi-wan's perspective, but in first person. This wouldn't be so bad except that the movement is rather bumpy, and eventually started to make me a bit seasick until I got to the point where I stopped really noticing it. Third person would have been a lot smoother, in my opinion, and easier to view. I already mentioned the couple of inaccuracies that bothered me, but they really weren't that big of a deal. I think these guys did a great job of recreating what, in my opinion, was the only saving grace of Episode 1 - much better than some videos I've seen! Good job, and I apologize for the hassles in getting this file up :p. NOTE: You must have the Duel of the Fates map to view this demo.
