Unreal Tournament 2004

CTF-Naelir

Description:

Naelir... a rather peculiar name for this map, maybe thats because I have no idea what it means or is. I spawned into the map at the red base and for a first look it seemed kind of bland. The music

is very nice and atmospheric, but the surroundings seemed too yellowy and stoney. So when you\'re playing this map, dont be on the red team ;) Thankfully, things improved when I found my way into the central area, which is a rather dark forest/clearing area with a few pools and bushes e.t.c The lighting and setting here works really well for the theme of the map, and I enjoyed messing about here. The blue base is lit differently from the red base and it really makes all the difference. What seemed bland in the red base is now vibrant and much nicer to look at. As far as gameplay, flow and item placement goes, they\'re all pretty decent, nothing special, but good for CTF, which is all a CTF map needs. It\'s nice to have something special sometimes, but for a solid game this is a nice map. The base setup is very good as well, and the flag is in a good place for assault/defense games. ~Szcio VII~
