GameFront has been offering up the best serving of video game culture since 2001. Whether you’re looking for news, reviews, walkthroughs, or the biggest collection of PC gaming files on the planet, GameFront has you covered. We also make no illusions about gaming: it’s supposed to be fun.
To that end, we’ve assembled a staff of gamers whose experiences span years and crosses from PC to consoles. This is our GameFront team:
Janelle Bonanno – Editor-in-Chief
Before coming to GameFront, Janelle served as sherpa to The Escapist since 2010 and Executive Director of the Video Game Bar Association. A recovering attorney, Janelle practiced and specialized in election law, not for profits and intellectual property. Somehow, she is still a current member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations. When not working or playing video games, Janelle enjoys returning to her Italian-American roots in Brooklyn, horseback riding and reading copious amounts of Heinlein.

Ron Whitaker – Managing Editor
Ron’s been a PC gamer since the 80′s, and remains one today. He joined GameFront in 2004, back when the site was still known as FileFront. Since then, he’s served in a number of capacities around the site, and is currently the site’s Managing Editor. Prior to joining GameFront, he did freelance work for several gaming-related websites. When he’s not working, he’s relaxing at home in central Kentucky, where he enjoys playing games of all types (except those in his Steam backlog, apparently), playing golf, playing with his son, sampling a variety of imported beers, and restoring his classic muscle car.

Phil Hornshaw – Senior Editor
Phil is an author, tech writer and former “for real” journalist originally from the Detroit area. He started writing about video games as a creator of walkthroughs, and thus is a recovering completionist. His first book So You Created a Wormhole: The Time Traveler’s Guide to Time Travel, was co-written with Nick Hurwitch and released in 2012, and its spiritual successor, The Space Hero’s Guide to Glory, comes out in February 2015. He’s also responsible for The Unofficial Resident Evil Trivia Challenge, and so knows much more about the game franchise and its accompanying movie series than he ever really wanted.

Mitchell Saltzman – Video Producer
Mitchell is a lifelong gamer who knew from an early age that his future career would involve playing video games. At first he thought that meant making video games. But then he got to college and saw how much math was involved with the path of becoming a game developer, and quickly decided that writing about games was much more his style. Starting out as a game reviewer for several small sites, Mitch eventually found his way into the walkthrough writing business, helping players get through tough games by providing step by step tips for each level. That job provided him with the experience and connections he needed to land his dream job: Working as a video walkthrough producer for GameFront’s youtube channels. When he’s not playing games, Mitch is busy catching up on all of the latest anime and pursuing his second passion, voice acting.

James Heaney – Video Producer
James joined GameFront as part of the Youtube video team in 2012 after leaving Treyarch where he worked on Call of Duty: Black Ops. With over 15 years’ experience performing live comedy, James has used this skill to leverage the work he has does with GameFront to stand out from the crowd. While some may question the level of skill James possesses at gaming, no one can deny his wholehearted commitment to creating expert walkthroughs. James performs and teaches improv comedy at the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica California.

Jeff Mills has been working for GameFront since April of 2000 (most of his adult life!) working in a variety of different areas of the site but finally settling into the role of Community Manager. Currently his job, when not adding content to the ever growing database of games, is to relay information to and from the sites’ community through our forums and network of game sites we host. He also specializes in MMO coverage for the site.
